Introducing new cat to a 16 year old cat?13 Nov 2004 17:14 GMT13
So Fatass is now my cat after my mom passed away...she is adjusting
well and is an indoor only blob that sleeps A LOT.  She is active to
climb stairs and waive at string, but she is alone most of the day.
I was thinking of getting her a companion - perhaps another older cat
calming feline aromatherapy?13 Nov 2004 16:08 GMT7
I saw this Feliway aromatherapy product in the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog
(see really long link below this post).... it's supposed to calm your cat while
you're away. Think this might actually work? I tend to be away all weekend, and
my cat gets very stressed out while I'm away. ...

The Atkins diet may be a fading fad, but the low-carb lifestyle is
making its way into pet-food stores nationwide.

Year old cat just began peeing at random, help!12 Nov 2004 21:06 GMT9
I came home from work today and dumped the newspaper on our kitchen
table.   I went to get a tasty Dr. Pepper out of the fridge, turned
around and saw that the cat was standing in a peculiar yet familiar
way.   SUrely he wasn't......
What to do with cat for 5 days?12 Nov 2004 18:56 GMT17
Hey folks,
We are going on a 5 day trip in the next few days and would like to
know everyone's opinion on what to do with the cat.  I have a 1 year
old (we got when he was 7 months) that is very affectionate people
Littermaid auto-tray: suitable for kittens?12 Nov 2004 13:23 GMT22
I would be grateful if people could give me some advice.
1.  I am shortly to adopt a couple of kittens and would like to allow
them and me the luxury of a Littermaid ("self-cleaning" tray operated by
an electric eye).  However, maybe the Littermaid is too deep for a
Another kitten question (sorry)12 Nov 2004 12:39 GMT5
They are so adorable. Feeling better, and so very active. They are
each eating 2 cans (3 oz cans) of Innova per day now. Is that about
right? I haven't looked up the calorie content (though I know it is
high enough in fat for kittens), or their calorie requirements as
My diabetic cat will not eat......12 Nov 2004 03:24 GMT5
Willi, who has also has terminal bone cancer - diagnosed since May, has had
diabetes since August and receives twice daily insulin shots. He has been alert
and fiesty but since Thursday evening has *refused* to eat his wet food. Just
refuses. I will drop some of his diabetic dry ...

My cat(Ernie) has had to have a couple of emergency ops due to crystal
build up.  We have been feeding him on a dry PH controlled food since
his first diagnosis and now the vet is saying feed him the wet food
version.
Siberians?11 Nov 2004 23:31 GMT6
I have to admit that the only cat breeds I know are some of the relatively
common ones.  Today, I was at a client's house and they had the most beautiful
cat, with a lovely personality.  They said is was a Siberian, and I've looked
them up on the net since getting home.  This kitty ...

hi all! i have an annoying little problem with two of my cats that
seems to be getting worse with age. the problem is that they will chew
through any exposed wires in the house. at first it was just thicker
cords that were carelessly lying about, so i learned what to expect if
Is my cat obessive-compulsive?11 Nov 2004 15:47 GMT13
My Bombay mix, Buddha (yes, he's the one with the cat acne) seems to
paw/scratch at the litter in his box obsessively.  It almost seems
like he's trying to clean his paws off!  This happens a few times a
week, usually at night, and it goes on for at least 2-5 minutes at a
Kinda Ot - Vacuum advice10 Nov 2004 22:25 GMT17
I really, really want to get a Dyson and I'm wondering if the expense is
worth it.  Right now, we have a cheap (~$150) Dirt Devil Breeze purchased a
few years ago and it is just not cutting it.
The house is a multi-level townhouse with old wall-to-wall carpet.  The
