"One-Eye" Update03 Nov 2004 03:28 GMT15
I went to the adoption shelter where we got one of our cats and talked to the
lady who runs it. She explaned that the best course of action might be to trap
this cat and have it put down. Her theory: adult ferrals are difficult to
treat, to catch, and especially to medicate for a ...
Really Unusual Cat03 Nov 2004 02:31 GMT11
We got a new intake that has to be the most unusual cat I've ever seen come
through. We've talked about moggies here, and shelter who hang purebred labels
on them, but if I were going to hang a label on this one, I wouldn't know which
one.

Cats & high pitched noises?03 Nov 2004 01:59 GMT2
Can anyone explain the peculiar effect certain noises have on my 2 moggies?
In particular it happens with the ringtones on my mobile phone, and if I
whistle a tune. My female cat immediately comes running, and goes a bit
dopey - chirruping, rolling around and headbutting either ...
Update on Trinity02 Nov 2004 22:19 GMT2
Sorry for taking so long to update, but I've been dealing with
midterms at school and a sick dog at home!
Trinity is the kitten whose eyes didn't open until 3 weeks, and then
had the eye infection.
Birman genetic problems02 Nov 2004 20:02 GMT1
Does anyone know anything about arrythmyogenic right ventricular
cardiomyopathy in Birmans? This is a rare genetic heart disease which
is always fatal, and my seal-point Birman is presently dying from it
at 11 1/2 years. He belongs to the old Birman gene pool in the UK and
Sergeant's 'Gold' : Okay for our cat?02 Nov 2004 19:52 GMT5
PJ has been scratching lately, but I didn't know what brand of flea
treatment to get him. On the grocery run to  Wal-Mart today, I found
they had 3 brands; Sergeant's regular and 'gold' varieties, Hartz
(nightmare stories), and another ("Nexxum" or something, about $7.00 ).
Looking for Kittens at play video02 Nov 2004 16:16 GMT5
Does anyone know where I can download kittens at play video on the
Internet?
Cat play circle02 Nov 2004 15:52 GMT51
After last Monday's escapade with the baby squirrel I was hoping for a
little respite.  No such luck.  Yesterday as I was vacuuming I pushed aside
a piece of furniture and one of my cats was shortly thereafter quite
animated.  I went downstairs, came up an hour later and found 5 ...
Can Cats get Lime Disease from Ticks?02 Nov 2004 14:32 GMT4
Can they get ANY disease from ticks? A friend is adopting a
tick-infested cat and she'd like to know.
Thanks for the groups earlier help on other questions, BTW!!
Thanks for ringworm advice; second question...02 Nov 2004 07:26 GMT13
Thank you  for taking time to reply to this question.  I will look for
the lime sulphur dip.  Impossible to isolate the kitten , so should I
dip all the cats in the group?
This sounds like a much bigger problem than I would have
2 cat questions02 Nov 2004 01:24 GMT6
I'm a relatively new cat owner, George has been with me since
September and I have a couple of questions. First off, does raw catnip
sprinkled over the cat food <1 tsp> have the same digestive aid
properties that the grass you can grow for cats has? Also, do cats
Stress02 Nov 2004 00:13 GMT5
Not really rocket science, but 'ot off the presses from the Beeb:

Mind you, living in Scotland would give a brick stress.
Seizure or Stroke or?01 Nov 2004 20:04 GMT9
My six year old Chartreu had a scary event yesterday morning.
She's been perfectly healthy.  I never saw the episode, but heard her
trashing around and hitting the walls.  When I got to her, she was
over it, trying to stand up and using the wall for support.
sugar content of dry food01 Nov 2004 19:41 GMT5
Have been following the threads on the dry food Vs canned and wondering how
the sugar content in dry food is listed. I have been feeding Waltham's Renal
LP dry and pouch. Can't seem to find in all the tiny print a sugar content
in the dry food, unless the sugars are in a ...
