Litter problems05 Nov 2004 19:38 GMT2
My male 15 year old cat has had a difficult year. Besides losing his two
littermates, he was diagnosed with a rare nocardia infection on his
front leg that we were treating with antibiotics and an Elizabethan
collar for approximately 6 months. Toward the end of that time, he
Update re: kitty acne05 Nov 2004 18:42 GMT10
After switching to ceramic bowls and waiting for quite some time, one of
my 3 cats still has blackheads and now a few more raised ones that look
inflamed, reddish, maybe even filled with puss. they look like they will
explode if pressed, but im afraid to touch them, and get them ...
Cat has bumps under chin05 Nov 2004 17:32 GMT6
My cat, Buddha (Bombay mix), seems to have small little pimply bumps
under his chin.  They appear to be a skin or fur problem (in other
words, they aren't below the skin) and he doesn't flinch shen I touch
them so I don't think they are painful.  Any insight as to whay they
Hairless Cats?05 Nov 2004 03:46 GMT11
I love cats and really want a kitten but have noticed whenever I am at my
sisters, if she has been vigilant with the vacuum, my nose starts to itch.
What's the deal with hairless cats? Are they good pets?
TIA
Greedy cat05 Nov 2004 00:15 GMT15
I have two cats. One is a female and a normal weight. One is a neutered male
and is getting tubby. He seems to eat about 3 times the recommended amount
of cat food he should be eating. I feed them both dry and wet cat food. The
female seems to prefer the wet food, whilst the male ...

Regurgitating Black Granules04 Nov 2004 19:01 GMT13
I have an older cat that is suffering from chronic renal failure.
I've been to several feline CRF pages on the net, so I am fairly
familir with the symptoms.
The problem my cat is having is that when he coughs up a hairball
Cat coughing or retching (not sure which)04 Nov 2004 17:24 GMT13
I have a 7 or 8 month old kitten I picked up from a shelter a few
months ago.  She later ended up testing positive for Feline Leukemia.
About a month ago she started either coughing or retching daily on
average.  She starts making a hacking type sound then jumps to the
does your cat do this?04 Nov 2004 16:30 GMT12
I have a young male cat (1 and 1/2 years) who jumps up on our shoulders and
wraps himself around our necks. He will remain like this for  long periods
of time. I also have a Tonkinese who does this (male, also). Do others have
cats who do this?
Canned food - prices04 Nov 2004 00:46 GMT20
I am thinking of changing our herd of cats over to wet food. We had a
diabetic cat a few years ago; that's when I first heard the argument
that dry food has more carbs than a cat needs and possibly contributes
to diabetes.
Littermaid OK for non-covering cat?03 Nov 2004 19:05 GMT8
Much to my chagrin, I have a cat who does not cover his poop.  He'll
make useless scratching motions, but he just never learned how to
cover properly.  I've pretty much given up on the hope that he'll
learn to cover his creations.
Cat dreams03 Nov 2004 10:21 GMT34
Last night when she was sitting on my lap, sleeping, Rosalie did that
twitchy thing cats do when they are (apparently) dreaming -- I have always
woken my cats up when they did this, on the chance that it was a bad dream
that had them so agitated (and it's not like they have any ...
Silent ginger03 Nov 2004 10:20 GMT9
A young ginger tom has moved into our house. It's a nice tame, clean
cat but we can't find out who it belongs to.
It is totally silent. It repeatedly opens it's mouth wide when it
wants to go out (or come in) and a cry should emerge but nothing is

I left a hastily composed message  a few days ago  and a few people
kindly replied, about the problem I have with my neighbor in relation
to his cat and my attempts to get the cat  some help.   There is a
history in this  forum about it.  However, I would again ask for
