Advice needed30 Nov 2004 23:53 GMT53
Okay, let me start by introducing our cat, Mina.
She is, we think, about 2-3 years old. She turned up as a stray, eating
the hedgehogs food, last summer. We shooed her off for a bit, but
eventually caved - she was painfully thin. A couple of weeks passed, and

that is my flatmate.  he calls me in the morning and says that he
noticed that the cat is scratching his ties, which he chooses to hang
in the  living room which is a common area.  he asked "what if i (he)
would pay for the cat to be declawed..." i told him i'll pay for his

Is anyone else seeing these weird messages that appear to be posted by ng

I think my cat is humping.30 Nov 2004 03:24 GMT7
Hey all,
My 18 month old (fixed) male just started getting into kneading.  At
first it was just the usual thing, kneading soft spots, pillows, etc.
I was delighted because I thought (from previous experience) that it
Cat Loves Refrigerator30 Nov 2004 01:45 GMT3
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.  Usually when I open the
refrigerator door, Mico sticks his head inside, and I have to push him out.
But four times now, he's gotten the better of me, and wiggled on top of the
last shelf, and gone to the back of the fridge!  It's not ...

Laser use in neutering procedure?30 Nov 2004 00:57 GMT15
I talked to our vet about the kittens neutering (it will be done at
their next appt, in three weeks). I forgot to ask about their use of
laser in the neutering procedure.  What is it, and is this a common
neutering procedure?  The estimate of charges adds $50 for each
For Those Who Think Vaccinations Aren't Important29 Nov 2004 22:10 GMT9
We've all gotten a beautiful little kitten that just steals your heart
away and we vow to take good care of him.
He looks healthy and, despite all the veterinary press about
vaccinations, some of us think "My kitten is staying indoors...
How Much to Feed Cat?29 Nov 2004 17:33 GMT35
I usually give Mico one half of a tuna sized can of food a day.  Lately he's
been eating it all, and then wanting more.  Mico is almost one and a half
years old, and is Siamese.  I don't want him to become obese.  Due to hunger
he's taken to ugly habits like licking the floor when ...
Cat restless with apparent discomfort & clear vaginal discharge29 Nov 2004 15:16 GMT23
I have a Tonkinese kitten of about ~6 months. She was fine yesterday,
but I noticed this morning (4am Eastern Time) that she seems to have
some abdominal discomfort from the way she keeps rolling around and
trying to reposition herself constantly. There also appears to be a
Jasmine's change in eating habits29 Nov 2004 10:16 GMT15
I don't know what to think about this. Jasmine is a 4 year old gray DS
that has always had a healthy appetite and a strange aversion to canned
food. So I feed her Iam's, try to tempt her with the occasional canned
food in an attempt to vary her diet a little and she has thrived.
toilet water28 Nov 2004 03:40 GMT3
I caught one of my cats drinking from the toilet this morning.
What's up with that?
Cat licking brick patio27 Nov 2004 07:34 GMT4
What would possess my 14 year old Himalayan, Sally, to  lick the red bricks
on my patio?  They are clean and I can't imagine what would attract her to
them.  Any ideas?

Ok, I need help...27 Nov 2004 03:40 GMT11
...with keeping the peace. Since two kittens came to live with us
two weeks ago, and the initial quarrantine period is up now that
they don't have any more symptoms of URI (going to vet tomorrow for
shots), they have periods of being out and about the house. I still
Feline - possible incorrect liver test?26 Nov 2004 20:09 GMT4
I'm looking for some thoughts on a situation with my cat...
I have an 11 year old indoor, neutered (overweight, but not obese) male
cat. He went to the vet recently for a yearly check-up. I mentioned that
he's seemed lethargic lately and that it seems like he's drinking/urinating
