PROBLEM WITH NEIGHBOR12 Oct 2004 21:31 GMT27
My neighbors cat has been coming to visit me for 5 years.  Recently
she had a bad case of untreated fleas and flea allergy that was
resolved only when, eventually, he agreed to my taking her to the
vets. Since then (except for the first day afterwards)  he has not
Aggressive cat behaviour12 Oct 2004 19:42 GMT1
I have recently taken ownership of a (roughly) nine year old neutered male
cat. The lady who I got him from said that she had taken him as a stray
about six years ago - the previous tenants of her flat had apparently
abandoned him and he kept coming back to their front door :( ...

How easy it to get your kitten to walk with a leash and what are the

I recently adopted a 2 year old cat from the SPCA which is the first
cat i've ever had. I've been giving him a teaspoon of catnip daily,
and rubbing it on his scratching post. This morning when I woke up

How do you stop kittens from climbing curtains - aside from taking
them down which isn't something we want to do all over the house.

Cleaning Mineral Oil off a Cat's Fur (earmite treatment)12 Oct 2004 02:35 GMT1
We have been treating our cat for earmites, with a mineral oil based
medication.  The problem is that the first time I used it on my cat, I
added a bit too much and some of the product ran down his fur by his
ears.  Is there an easy way to wash this out, without a bath?  I tried

Click on my photo link.  Getting cooler now, so more kitty snuggling going on!
The Elavil is still working well - it's so nice to have Carey not screaming at
all hours, and really nice to have all of the urine IN the box!

shrimp only diet help11 Oct 2004 23:29 GMT2
My 15 year old cat stopped eating about six months ago. The vet could
find nothing wrong so I started trying different foods. The only thing
he seems to like is shrimp, a few whisker lickin's treats and a few
bites of dry food. He will eat as much shrimp as I will give him, it
Update on our mid-summer adoption.. bad (long)11 Oct 2004 18:13 GMT10
To recap if you haven't read my earlier posts...
A stray had been frequenting our house for over a month. He was
flea-bitten, mite-infested and hungry, but obviously socialized to
humans because he was so friendly.
Confession to make11 Oct 2004 17:11 GMT9
This in view of the recent spate of posts concerning de-clawing a cat. I
have felt so bad since I started reading about this, for about 5 yrs. ago I
had our cat de clawed. This is not easy for me to write now especially here.
I wish I'd read here or elsewhere 5 yrs ago about this ...
Using k/d as a preventative?11 Oct 2004 07:58 GMT3
I have a 9year old male cat who last year had a close relative die
from polycystic kidney disease.  I immediately had his kidneys
scanned, figuring that at the age of 8 his kidneys would be cystic if
they were going to be.  The good news is that they weren't cystic at
