Does anyone have any safe tips for keeping ants out of and away from the cat

Cruel Vet15 Oct 2004 01:38 GMT76
Last week Monday I took my cat to the Vet because his stomach was
bloated (before I had thought it was weight gain). It was a 10:00am
appointment, and we got there 9:55am. There was no one in the waiting
room, and it seemed there was no patients there except us.
Purevax rabies vaccine14 Oct 2004 16:45 GMT4
Does anyone know why the Purevax rabies vaccine is only good for one
year while the others are good for up to three years?  Is it likely that
the Purevax will  someday become a three year vaccine?  I prefer the
safety of the Purevax but would prefer not to have to vaccinate every
Cat Yowls in Early Morning14 Oct 2004 15:59 GMT7
To begin, I am a bit of an insomniac.  I have often woken up at about 5:00
am, stayed up for about an hour, then gone back to sleep.  But this happens
once every few nights.
Another important piece of information:  my cat tends to want to destroy my
Frontline not working on fleas14 Oct 2004 13:35 GMT6
We have had a bad flea outbreak in Fl and Frontline dosen't seem to be
working any longer. We had ordered some off the internet awhile back
and the expiration date in in 2005. Put it on both cats as prescribed
about two weeks ago and so far, no effect on the fleas. Therefore, 1)

Help! - Antonio got out!14 Oct 2004 02:33 GMT8
Please don't flame me, I don't let my cats outside.  They are indoor-only.
This is an awful, awful mistake on my part.
Our front screen door is broken, so it needs to be locked in order for it to
be secure.  This morning, I forgot to lock the door.  My husband and I were
Still no Antonio :-(13 Oct 2004 21:45 GMT7
My one year old semi-feral escpaed yesterday, still no sign of him.
I have four traps set for him.  One near the back door, one near the front
(where he got out), one in the brush in the back of our complex, and one at
the side of the house.

It goes with this non-article until they move it or something.
Easy way to brush a cat's teeth13 Oct 2004 15:38 GMT7
I have called upon this list for help sometimes, so I wanted to share
something useful which might help others.
My cat doesn't have a very good dental history...she's lost 4 teeth to
infection and every year when I took her to the vet, he'd recommend a
Tucker weight loss update13 Oct 2004 14:08 GMT8
In case you haven't been following, I started Tucker on a new, canned
food only diet to help him lose weight. (Long story short, my vet gave
me poor information and he gained 5 pounds in 8 months!)
He's been on the diet almost 6 weeks and is doing great! He's lost 1

Acoming an Outdoor Cat.13 Oct 2004 09:18 GMT9
I have a semi-indoor cat. I want to make her an outdoor one so I don't
have to worry about her escaping through any of the many exits(patio
doors, conservatory, etc). I live in a cat-friendly neighbourhood but
my cat six months old has only been out on a liesh thrice a week on

FeLV tests update13 Oct 2004 00:22 GMT3
Just a minor follow-up;  I tagged on to the end of the thread on
indoor cats & vaccinations, with some questions about testing 3 of my
cats for FeLV.  I'd had them tested (purely as a precaution) when I
got them in June and they were negative.  Then I found out there was
