Armarkat cat trees?18 Oct 2004 01:46 GMT12
Are these any good???  I did a search in the newsgroups and was
astounded that I didn't get any hits.
Other recommendations for low-priced, high-quality trees would be
appreciated.  How about cat walks (www.katwallks.com)?  Anybody have
Wool Blanket gets peed on18 Oct 2004 01:16 GMT4
Anyone know anything about kittens and wool blankets...aside from the
"wool sucking" thing? our kittens (or one of them ) seems to have
taken to peeing on our leather couch. only we don't think it's the
couch it seems to be the wool blanket covering the couch. They don't
Stridex for kitty acne18 Oct 2004 00:04 GMT2
Here's an idea for anyone whose cat suffers from recurrent or seasonal
kitty acne. Despite removing plastic and stainless steel bowls and
daily washing of the ceramic ones, Tucker will still have outbreaks.
I did a little digging online and found this suggestion in several
Great kitty progress16 Oct 2004 19:17 GMT23
Greetings all:
Rosalie is my formerly feral cat who I got last March. She has made great
progress in the time she has been with me and last night she took another
giant step forward -- she jumped up on the ottoman my feet were propped up
Kitten Biting Electrical Wires16 Oct 2004 12:27 GMT9
My 8 week old kitten, Cinder, is biting Cat5 cables. More seriously,
she's started biting 120 volt electrical wires.
Any ideas on stopping this behaviour?
Humane Equity Fund16 Oct 2004 09:30 GMT1
I'm seeking a socially responsible mutual fund (but nothing radical) that I
can buy
a piece of for my children.
Anyone know if the Humane Equity Fund is still in existence? I go to the web
Chihuahua Nurses Kittens!16 Oct 2004 05:38 GMT1
In Arkansas a woman took in three babies whose mother was killed and her
female chihuahua (who she apparently breeds and who has apparently always
hated cats) took an interest in them, developed milk, and is now feeding and
grooming them. I would post a link but it is one of those ...
Tigger Just Died of Uremia16 Oct 2004 02:36 GMT22
My precious Tigger just died of uremia yesterday, and I have terrible
guilt feelings about it.   He was a 7-year old Tom cat (gray w/
stripes).
He had FUS back in 2000.  I gave him Control Formula cat food which
Drinkwell fountain15 Oct 2004 20:24 GMT2
My cats have a new Drinkwell fountain, intended to encourage them to drink more
water. Neither one has gone near it in 3 days. Does anyone have any ideas about
how to get them interested?
allergies started when kitten hit 8months?  common?15 Oct 2004 19:54 GMT3
My wife and I got a kitten about 9 months ago, and neither of us had
any problems at all until just recently when it's become clear y wife
is now allergic to our nearly full grown kitten.  Since nothing else
has changed in the environment, and she has fewer allergy symptoms the
Update to Do cats get the flu post. Bear is ok. 15 Oct 2004 19:05 GMT2
Hi group.
Thanks for the support, advice and concern for Bear.
She started perking up. She is still a little tired but is back to herself for
the most part. I still have her in guarded condition and I'm keeping an eye on
feline hip surgery15 Oct 2004 19:01 GMT10
After coming home last night we found our cat limping.  We took her
to an after hours emergency clinic.  The vet who examined her showed
us that she had a femoral head fracture.  They do not perform the
operation there and could not answer some of my questions.  I will be

I have a  cat that I found in the street, not full grown, yet, and without
claws.  It's now 14 years later and she still tries to sharpen her claws on
"Electric Nachos"15 Oct 2004 17:05 GMT4
Just for giggles, I googled.
She fancies herself a "liberal" but loves to post at alt.fan.rush.limbaugh.
This silly cow posts for the express purpose of combat.
Different strokes, right?
FeLV kittens, questions15 Oct 2004 16:53 GMT5
We had a litter of 5 kittens dumped at the shelter yesterday.  They were

them? not sure what the pillow was for) at the fence.  They range in size
from 3 lbs to 1 lbs, all have conjunctivitis and URI.  ...
