Lapsitting!25 Oct 2004 05:10 GMT7
You all may remember that last week Rosalie, my formerly feral cat who has
lived with me since last March, took the big step of curling up next to my
legs while I was watching tv. Well, evidently the first step is the
hardest, because last night, after curling up on the hassock ...
skin problems25 Oct 2004 01:47 GMT14
I have an 11 year old male yellow tabby and we have been battling a skin
irritation on his neck and chest for about a year now. It starts out
fairly small and red and grows pretty quickly down his chest and around
the back of his neck. It oozes and bleeds and then scabs over but ...
I went to the cat show at the Garden (plus Cloning rant)25 Oct 2004 00:45 GMT95
The cat show was at Madison Square Garden this year and we went. Lots
of weird looking cats. We sat though the judging of the Best Kitten Of
Show. Apparently 4 months to 8 months old. Thus many types were
represented instead of one of the Best Of Breed judgings. I was

Flooring types and cats24 Oct 2004 17:07 GMT29
Do you all have opinions on types of flooring that work well with cats?  My
carpet is wearing out (it's old anyway), and I would like to replace it with
something different that my cats won't harm (either by clawing or peeing).
Obviously, tile would be a practical solution but ...

Air Travel With Cat24 Oct 2004 01:54 GMT74
I might be going to a cat show in Las Vegas with my cat Isis and was
wondering if anyone had any tips on how to travel with her by air. I have
read it isn't good to tranquilize a cat for air travel since it could be
problematic. I have also read that bringing the cat as carry-on ...
Do cats get the flu? My cat is sick :(24 Oct 2004 01:47 GMT21
Yesterday, my cat Bear wasn't her normal self. She stayed in and rested on the
couch. At that time I just figured she was napping. Nothing out of the
ordinary.
When I got home last night from work, I could see she wasn't feeling good. She
Is this normal behaviour?23 Oct 2004 23:11 GMT4
Hi group, looking for advice on problems integrating a new cat.
A week ago my older cat passed away (he was the alpha of my two neutered
males, the only two cats). I went to the rescue and adopted a 8 YO female
which was aparently used to other cats and friendly etc. For the first 2

New Cat Food23 Oct 2004 00:47 GMT7
I bought a new kind of canned food the other day.  The brand name is Merrick
and it is suppose to be all natural, no by-products, etc.  The label says
that the 5.5 oz can contains 992 kcal/kg and that it provides 156 kcal of
metabolizable energy, calculated value.  Does this ...
Cat Cam - Pet Tracking22 Oct 2004 21:30 GMT68
I am really interested to know if anyone has had any joy with having
tracking devices or cameras on their pets?  I'd be very interested to
know this especially if you have a cat, but also a dog as well.
I am researching into whether its possible to have a tiny wireless

Nuetered Male cat agressive toward newly spayed female kitten22 Oct 2004 18:07 GMT3
We just had our 5 month old kitten spayed. I know she was a bit young,
but she had already gone into heat and she was leaving wonderful
bloody-mucous puddles here and there (first time I've seen that with a
cat). She was away for two days and our one year old male cat (we have
