Good cat dirt?10 Sep 2004 08:32 GMT9
I have a problem.  Two outdoor cats, one that never really adjusted to
a litterbox.  I live in a duplex, and they like my neighbors garden.
Is there something I could do to make a 4 ft by  5 ft plot of dirt
attractive to these little guys?
Need help with introducing cat to dog10 Sep 2004 08:06 GMT2
I have a friend who "inherited" a cat when her brother passed away.  The cat
is female, spayed, about 7 years old.  My friend has never had a cat before;
she currently has a 15 year old dachshund.  My friend is trying to introduce
the cat and the dog but is having some difficulty.  ...
Cheeky, Boo, and Gnarly: Cats of My House, Cats of My Heart.10 Sep 2004 05:02 GMT28
If I did this right, you can click below and see them.
Cheeks is the extremely polite, very bright and funny asthmatic tabby with
EGC or "linear granuloma." She is the one who conquers the rubber snake and
brings it to me several times a day.
Hiding Cat10 Sep 2004 01:26 GMT4
About two months ago I got a "free-to-a-good-home" four-year-old tabby cat.
Ever since it arrived, it sits on a shelf in the basement and except for
nocternal eating rarely comes out.
It has been getting friendlier, craves attention, but does give me a fairly
Kittens and ants.09 Sep 2004 22:47 GMT10
I adopted a few male kittens a couple months ago.  They were born by a stray
in my yard.  I brought themThey're about three months old now and seem to be
doing well.  The main problem now is there are all these tiny ants around
their food all the time.  This has been a problem ...
Scrathing Post Question09 Sep 2004 22:41 GMT13
Hi all. I have a 11 week old kitten called Darwin. I adopted
him 3 week ago.
Every morning he tares around the house and
"attacks" his scratching post (which is good). All of a sudden this morning
*sigh* Tucker's weight, again09 Sep 2004 21:01 GMT34
I went in to the vet's yesterday to get Tucker weighed. (He's had a
weight problem that I've been trying to control for over two years.
He's now 6.) He was previously on Hills r/d but the vet switched him
to m/d last December.
Will cats share a scratching post09 Sep 2004 10:29 GMT12
I just made a nifty sisal scratching post/lobby ashtray combo.  One
cat uses it and the other still uses the couch (bad kitty).  It this a
teritory thing?  Should I make another post?

All hell has broken loose08 Sep 2004 20:37 GMT4
Always fun bringing home a new kitty and introducing them to the rest of the
kitty household :).  Kaya, a 10wk old female DLH came home with us yesterday
from our local shelter.  We were hoping she'd get along with our 7 year old
female who is always being picked on by our two ...
Sprocket update: when can I cut his claws?08 Sep 2004 20:35 GMT5
Little Sprocket is coming along great.  He's officially 5 weeks old today,
eating like a champ and playing up a storm.  I am having more accessories
for his "playpen" cage shipped so he'll have more interesting things to
run up and play on.  He's really good at climbing up the ...
Accused of spraying!08 Sep 2004 19:00 GMT12
Hoping for some advice here.  For 18 years I had just the one cat - a
beautiful maine-coon style moggie who unfortunately succumbed to that
most typical of Maine Coon diseases -- renal failure -- on November
4th 2001.
Questions about IC and food08 Sep 2004 17:03 GMT1
I posted last month to this group about my IC cat being taken off dry
food and developing diarrhea.  I have since tried several types of
fiber supplements and several types of pet-store canned food, but she
is still having diarrhea.  I tried the Science Diet canned hairball,
Negative reinforcement for bullying??08 Sep 2004 14:17 GMT4
Has anyone had luck using negative reinforcement for bullying?
I have a 2 year old youngster and a 9 year old senior.  The youngster
has too much energy for his own good.  I try to help him burn it off
constructively but sometimes I don't do a good enough job.  He stalks

I read somewhere once how to treat car mites at home, but I can't
remember what I read!
