Cat licking patio12 Sep 2004 06:09 GMT16
My cat (14) has started licking the patio - anyone know why he does this?
Salt content?  It seems very strange.
Also, he just licks at his food and doesn't seem as interested as
he used to be - have tried several types of food now.

Feline leukemia -- how young to test?12 Sep 2004 04:40 GMT7
Sprocket's vet says he's too young (four weeks at time of vet's appt) to

enough.  Can someone tell me?  Thanks!

My 15 year old cat was fine Saturday night, but when I got up Sunday
morning, he couldn't walk. He could pull himself around on the floor,
but could not stand up. He didn't seem to be in pain when I picked him
up to go to the Vet. X-rays show some spinal problems. The first Vet

kepping cats off window ledge10 Sep 2004 19:43 GMT21
Hi.  There's a long window above our bed which the cats love to jump
on and prowl around on when we sleep.  A couple of times they've
jumped on our stomachs getting down, which is no fun at all.  Last
night one of them landed on my face, giving me some unsightly and

My vet says, in the absence of other symptoms, it's probably low-grade
colitis in reaction to her food. He recommended a low-residue cat food.
Can anyone suggest a brand I might try? I've looked on the Web ...
