I don't need another cat.......25 Sep 2004 21:45 GMT24
Help me be strong.  Please.  :)
This evening I was standing in front of the house talking to
DH and a friend of ours when I see a *tiny* grey kitten run down the
sidewalk across the street.  I blink, go 'What the..." and run across
Cat mucus25 Sep 2004 21:38 GMT2
Check this out.  I just got kicked out of the house my girlfriend
rents a room in, permanently, because her landlord believes that I
actually *spit* in his cat's food dish.  He made her go downstairs and
examine it to verify that it looked human.  He came to his own
Suckling Issue25 Sep 2004 19:58 GMT7
A couple months ago a friend of mine acquired a year old female cat
that now occasionally suckles on her one of her own nipples! One day I
lifted her head to make her stop and she became very angry and bit me.
She is quite healthy and very active. Maybe she needs constant
How do I convert a feral to indoors pet?25 Sep 2004 19:53 GMT7
I've adopted a stray cat that I think is feral. Well, we adopted each
other. Anyhow, Squeaky is very sweet natured, and very affectionate with
me. But he isn't civilized. He is also timid. He was starved when I
adopted him, but is in good shape now.
Cats of a Different Color: Charcoal Gray25 Sep 2004 08:03 GMT2
I have a charcoal gray cat.  Someone told me that the genetics of such cats are
weird, and that they sometimes have health problems as a result, but I haven't
been able to find anything about that.
Does anyone know anything about this, and could you point me toward a good
vaccinations question25 Sep 2004 04:39 GMT39
The two cats at work, Stinky & Harriet, have their annual checkup scheduled
for tomorrow (Tuesday).  I just looked at the postcard I got from the vet's
office and they checked off what the cats should be going in for: annual
exam and under vaccinations, they checked off the box ...
Peeing outside the box - to vet or not to vet25 Sep 2004 01:30 GMT2
There are many posts about cats peeing outside the box. There are probably
as many reasons for this as there are posts.
One of the first things advised is to get the pet to the vet. This is
usually an expensive proposition. To check for the various urinary tract
A question about feeding canned food...25 Sep 2004 00:29 GMT62
Hi again,
I've spoken to my vet about Cilla ("Horrible Pet Owner" post) and she has
recommended a completely canned diet for Cilla.  I don't really think it
will be that difficult to convert her...she loves her wet food and only

Happy Friday.
Damn. Nipsy didn't come for breakfast today.24 Sep 2004 13:40 GMT7
Yesterday morning I woke up to find that someone had upchucked twice
in the bed, in areas frequented by Nipsy and Jackie. I assumed it was
Jackie because she is the one with the diarrhea and all.
But this morning Nipsy didn't come to eat. I picked him up off the bed
Lying on their back24 Sep 2004 04:20 GMT32
Tiger is a big cat - make that a HUGE cat. He weighed in at 23 pounds at
his last vet visit.  He likes to lay on his back with his feet sticking
up.  Is this a trait of Maine Coons?

Sea Grass24 Sep 2004 01:23 GMT1
I bought a set of 3 sea grass baskets from Canadian Tire. Anyway, I
brought them home and my cat went nuts! She rubs against them, she
chews them, she jumps in them and uses them for a scratching post...
Is this stuff safe for cats? I put the baskets in the closet. I mean,
Boy am I confused(A little long)24 Sep 2004 00:40 GMT2
This could be kinda lengthy but at the risk of leaving something out will
try to make it short. Our cat has been on vet. prescribed Waltham's renal LP
cat food. We had both wet and dry. He is a very picky eater and finally has
been eating the wet with some boiled chicken added. ...
Miami-Dade animal shelter receive poor marks23 Sep 2004 21:48 GMT1
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/local/9725876.htm
• Feral cats ''poled'' out of traps and carriers ``thrashed around so
violently that they could have easily been injured. The cats were then
lifted by the control poles around their necks without any body
Cat weeing in the house22 Sep 2004 21:41 GMT2
Our cat has recently started weeing in the house.  1st on our bed -
when we were in it.  It looked as if he'd been asleep and wet himself
in his sleep.  2nd about 1.5 weeks later when he was picked up (also
found he'd done a poo in the same bedroom that day).  And 3rd on
