Cat's Behaviour28 Sep 2004 00:56 GMT16
Hi all. I am just a bit curious about something my
cat does and have seen my previous cats do. When
startled they would turn sideways, hunch their backs
and hop backwards. I'm wondering if it has something
Grooming Tools27 Sep 2004 19:22 GMT1
For what it's worth, this de-soldering tool available at Radio Shack and
other fine electronics stores is great for sucking fleas out of a flea comb.

FIP?27 Sep 2004 17:41 GMT3
I got a call from the woman who runs the rescue group that I volunteer for
that one of the cats we adopted out 2 weeks ago (approx. 2 yr old) was
diagnosed with FIP and had to be euthanized this week. There were a number
of cats and kittens rescued from the same location. Two of the ...
Untreated injury/arthritis in cat and Adequan question27 Sep 2004 17:06 GMT6
In the last few days I have taken in Nubbins, an approximately 8 yr. old
cat that was dumped after exhibiting aggression to another cat in the
household. I had been trying to help the owners deal with this issue to
keep him in the home (he was adopted from a rescue I volunteer for) ...
Feline Leukemia Positive Kitten Needs a Home26 Sep 2004 22:55 GMT5
Hi,
About two weeks ago my husband and I found a kitten crying in the parking lot
of a train station. We are both highly allergic to cats, (allthough we adore
them) but leaving her was not an option. After taking her to a vet for a
cats with constipation26 Sep 2004 21:01 GMT8
I am looking after a cat that clearly has constipation.  Before I go to the
vet does anyone have any ideas what I can use.  At the moment I am adding
oily fish to the diet.  Any suggestions would be most welcomed.

Kitten whiskers breaking off26 Sep 2004 20:48 GMT5
I have a new kitten, who's 13 weeks old, and he's long-haired, although
his long hair is still growing in.  WHen I first saw him, I thought his
whiskers were cut off - they were only about an inch long when I got
him - but now that his whiskers are starting to grow longer, the ends ...
Berber carpet OK for cats?26 Sep 2004 19:30 GMT11
I am going to be replacing the carpet in my basement with something
tough and durable like Berber given that I have a home gym in the
basement.  However I was wondering two things:
1) Whether my two cats will always be clawing the carpet and getting
World's Best Litter26 Sep 2004 18:30 GMT32
Here is a recommendation. Try 'The World's Best Litter". It is made of
ground up corn, is un sented and works well. It absorbs liquid well enough
that it never gets the litter box wet. It clumps very nicely and is
flushable. We have been using it for about 6 months for 2 cats, ...
My cat is a bird-terminator !26 Sep 2004 08:12 GMT12
Yes, my cat won't stop killing birds.
Dorrie (And Old Cats)26 Sep 2004 07:18 GMT13
I debated whether to post a follow-up to a post I made yesterday.
Enough people were kind to email me privately, and that convinced me
to post one final time with the caveat that I won't read group
responses to this one either (yesterday's, by "It's a Wonderful
Leg wound?26 Sep 2004 06:22 GMT3
Frank is an outside cat.  I know there are good reasons for keeping him
inside, etc. but anyway, he loves to be out and we have a huge yard,

Severe fleas: can I safely apply Frontline 2 weeks apart?26 Sep 2004 04:11 GMT1
We got 2 new kittens a couple months ago.  They are 4 months old now.
A few weeks ago, we suddenly realized we had severe fleas.  We had the
vet flea bath them and he sold us Frontline.  Right at the same time,
we flea bombed the house but it was only partially effective.  So, we
Persistent infection26 Sep 2004 01:56 GMT14
Hi, my male long haired cat has an infection of his paw and also a patch on
his side.  His paw is swollen, raw looking and bleeds slightly.  This has
persisted despite anti-biotics, cream and bathing in salt water.  It may be
he is not getting full doses of the pills as he resists ...
Severe Nighttime Problem w/ Dorrie26 Sep 2004 01:25 GMT42
Hi, everyone.  Here it is, 72 hours-and-counting without sleep,
because--  I have to admit it--  My Dorrie stinks up my bedroom so
badly, I just do not sleep.  My little angel is a smelly cat!
This sleeping arrangement problem is a new problem because (as some
