Amitryptilline has changed our lives!30 Sep 2004 17:59 GMT25
OMG - I have my house back again, and I can sleep through the night (ok, other
things do keep me awake sometimes!).
Carey has been off phenobarbital and prednisone for a few weeks, and has been
on amitryptilline for about 10 days.  We have had no more nighttime (and random
Any significance to bi-color eyes and whiskers?30 Sep 2004 12:40 GMT7
I have a little kitten, Arthur, and have noticed a lot that is unusual
about him.  He has very unusual and beautiful markings on him (he is
black/grey tabby), and he has bi-colored eyes (both amber and green in
both eyes), as well as some bi-colored whiskers (white on the tips,
eosinophilic complex?30 Sep 2004 06:00 GMT1
I have a one year old male sphynx that we recently took to the vet to
find out what is going on with his oddities. To begin, his lymph nodes
or glands are swollen and have been since we bought him at 16 weeks.
He has seen many vet visits and was on a few different antibiotics and
Male cats and moisture intake29 Sep 2004 23:33 GMT9
In deciding what to feed my cat, and after googling for info, I had come to
the conclusion that a diet of dry and wet food would be good. However my cat
seems to gravitate to the dry food more. My concern is that I've read that
on dry food it's possible male cats won't get the ...

toilet training a super-stubborn cat29 Sep 2004 20:22 GMT29
I have two cats.  One is a 9 year old mix who is great and who I
toilet trained at 6 months and has never had a problem since.
My other cat, whose name is Stub due to her cute little stub tail, is
as stubborn as they get.  Let me tell you where I am right now.
cats and cement/concrete29 Sep 2004 12:39 GMT4
My cat, as soon as he gets out the door, rolls around like crazy on the
cement. He does it all year round, so it isn't for the heat or cool. do you
think its a good scratcher material or something? do other peoples cats do
this?
Mr. Macho has abandoned us29 Sep 2004 05:58 GMT12
Mr. Macho, my large black male, has become a visitor in our home.  Last April
my husband, who Macho adored, was hospitalized for two weeks.  We had to set up
a hospital bed in the dining room for him because it was just too difficult for
him to climb the stairs.  In addition, he ...
Marbles at the ER29 Sep 2004 04:51 GMT7
We had to take Marbles to the Emergency Vet around 4:30 am.  He was twitching
his tail severely, kept flopping over on his side and then getting up right
away and twitching his tail again.  Sometimes his mouth stayed open, not really
panting but just open.  He was very vocal but he ...
Kitty peeing and pooping everywhere but the litterbox.29 Sep 2004 02:42 GMT1
I have a 15 year old domestic shorthair who's started to go
everywhere.  He reciently went in for surgery to remove a growth on
his hip and ever since he's been back he's started going everywhere
(Both ways), even on me.  I have 4 litterboxes around the house and
cheapest place to buy wellness?29 Sep 2004 01:16 GMT21
Giant thanks to Megan for spending her time on the phone tonight helping my
wife and I out with our cats' diet.  I need to buy lots of Wellness.  The
cheapest I've been able to find it is actually locally for $20.99/case of 24
5.5oz cans ($0.87/can).  I almost ALWAYS find ...
non minding kitty28 Sep 2004 23:38 GMT8
Jack my tomcat has become very hyper lately. Which isn't necessarily a
problem. The only thing is aside from just running through the house he gets
on top of things and into things that he shouldn't be. Our other cats we
taught the word NO with a water gun but unfortunately Jack is ...
What Have I Done to my Poor Kitty?28 Sep 2004 23:16 GMT23
When I got Mico, I made sure he was properly weaned, to make up for the
mistake of having gotten Sabra before *she* was properly weaned.  Sabra used
to constantly knead me.  And not until a couple of months ago, Mico didn't.
Now he does.  Whenever he comes to lie down on me, it's ...
Maine coon immitating insects28 Sep 2004 21:50 GMT3
The other morning our cat was sitting at the window making an odd
rapid ticking sound with his mouth. It sounded like a lone cicada or
some other insect. We hear them occasionally outside, but I have never
heard of a cat immitating an insect or any other noise for that
How can I...28 Sep 2004 02:42 GMT8
I've got a wonderful cute little kitten.  Born last March, she is now 6
months old.  She's as crazy and playful as could be imagined.
However, she won't sit on my lap and cuddle.  Last night, I finally got
her to relax on top of my chest as I lay down, and to accept me
