Diarrhea concern23 Aug 2004 20:45 GMT1
My cat is male and about 13 years old.  About 2 weeks ago he started
having diarrhea with really watery eyes (might not be related...about
4 times a year he'll get the runny eyes for about a week).  He also
licks himself "down there" so much that he's lost hair on his tail.
WBC count question23 Aug 2004 19:17 GMT18
Jackie Cat has a WBC count of 51,000 and normal is up to 16,000. Can
an infection cause such a high count, or is this likely leukemia? That
is the only abnormal test. Physically, she has constant diarrhea and
has since I got her about 3 months ago.
Clomicalm for fighting cats?23 Aug 2004 15:33 GMT16
My two cats, who have lived together for 6 years, started fighting 2
months ago (we don't know why). We kept them separated, tried to
re-introduce them, but nothing works. Basically, the male cat is
stalking the female and doesn't let her move around the house. (Both
Took in a sick cat...23 Aug 2004 09:07 GMT46
Hi Group,
Hope you can give me some advice.  About a month ago I took in a cat that
had once belonged to someone I know.  She had pretty-much stopped caring for
the cat.  I felt bad and took the cat into my care.
Update on stray adoption. I think it's time to let Henry go23 Aug 2004 01:33 GMT10
I guess I'm hoping someone will talk me out of it..
It's been almost three months now, and given the chance, Henry tears
off after our little bengal, Louis. Louis is pretty beat up after the
last attack, where they ended up under a bed and it took us a few

Cat not eating update22 Aug 2004 22:20 GMT28
Cat still not eating much. Got the full blood test today and the results
show, according to the vet, a liver infection that is also affecting the
kidneys. He gave us a pill to give once a day that is supposed to help the
liver(Denosyl). Also special food to give the cat. Waltham's ...

Shouldn't cats clean themselves after using the litter box?22 Aug 2004 21:54 GMT10
I picked up 2 young (~5 months) domestic short hair cats 3 weeks ago
and they do periodically clean themselves, but they never seem to do
so right after using the litter box.
This becomes more of a problem when a cat is having soft stools as a
Fat Cat toys!22 Aug 2004 20:38 GMT22
I love these things. They have catnip and some have crackly stuff in them.
Our latest: Hillary Clinton and Arnold Schwarzenegger. :) (Petsmart was out
of George Bush, and Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich have been retired.
Bummer!)
Tons of Tiny Ticks!22 Aug 2004 17:23 GMT4
I have two cats, 1.5 years old, who have just gotten the opportunity
to go outside after my moving to a new place.  Neither of them is
currently on any flea or tick medication. I was planning on addressing
that as soon as funds allow me to get them to the vet for their
Small growth in the corner of cats eye?22 Aug 2004 16:48 GMT2
Our 8 month old cat, Mollie has had a little white pimple looking thing in
the corner of one of her eyes for just over a week now.  At first we just
thought it was sleep, and she would clean it out, but it hasn't budged.
She is no different than she was before this thing appeared - ...
ringworms22 Aug 2004 08:10 GMT4
Have a lovely affectionate INDOOR kitten named Nika. Only one real problem.
Somehow, somewhere she picked up ringworms. I'm about ready to give up.
Just when I think it's under control it seems to spread.

Odd markings21 Aug 2004 15:07 GMT5
I've adopted a stray with odd markings. He is basically a tabby, but his
stripes run the length of his body instead of vertically on his sides.
Does anybody have any idea what breed may have given him longitudinal
stripes?
