Hi Group, I just had new carpet installed in my home, and my cat has adopted the corner of my livingroom to poop in. There is no urine smell, just poop. She has a litterbox and it seems she is also using it.

| hacking cat | 27 Aug 2004 17:57 GMT | 7 |
My cat hates to be brushed. Hates it to the point where it is just a power struggle with us. I want to brush her and she wants to get away. I have tried everything I can think of to get her to accept it more readily. I have tried brushing her when she is relaxed, giving her ...

I've posted about this before. So I apologize for the redux. But the problem hasn't been solved. Basically here's the scoop. We have 4 cats. Two cats hang out through the night and are happy to see us in the morning (both for food an attention). The other two cats (a brother and ...

I have a two and a half pound male kitten who was rescued off the street. When he poops, instead of crouching so his butt is elevated like a normal cat does, he pushes his bottom into the litter and ends up with quite a mess stuck to his behind. After I clean him up he drags his ...

| Oxalate stones and food Questions. | 26 Aug 2004 12:22 GMT | 4 |
I need some food information for cats with Oxalate stones. I read somewhere that cats with Struvite crystals should eat a meat based diet and cats with Oxalate stones should eat a plant based diet. I was always under the impression that plant based diets weren't very good

| Derma-caps question | 26 Aug 2004 12:14 GMT | 1 |
Since we've been talking about shedding, I have a question. I noticed my little short-haired tortie girl had two mats in her coat today. One I was able to break up with my fingers, but the other one I had to cut out. I gave her a thorough brushing afterwards. I've never seen a ...

Well the old boy is home. OK, the state of his FIV won't be fully known until his western blot is back probably next Monday. He's on tapazole for the thyroid. As it turns out he has a sludge-like

| NOT a flea allergy? | 26 Aug 2004 10:54 GMT | 6 |
I took my 9-year-old cat to the vet today because she's been biting at the base of her tail. She also has some red skin and scabs along her spine near the base of the tail. I assumed flea allergy - she has been going outside occasionally after three years indoors, so she is ...

| MRIs for Cats at NC Vet School | 26 Aug 2004 05:40 GMT | 10 |
I heard to day on National Public Radio that the North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine now has the ability to perform MRIs on cats and dogs. The cost is $1,200.00 and the clip I heard makes it sound like that would be full body. IAMs helped with funding.
