Jackie's Test Results07 Jul 2004 19:27 GMT11
Yikes, I had posted this to the wrong group! Well, here it is in the
right group.
Not too good I think. All chems are reasonably normal, not diabetic
for sure. Her WBC is 42, which is very high. Could be an infection,
Cat peeing in sink07 Jul 2004 19:25 GMT19
I posted earlier about Stella, my 8 month old kitty scratching in the sink
and squatting. She only does this when I go to the bathroom, not my fianc?.
Well, last night, after all the trying (she looks like she's trying to pee)
she finally did. Just a little, but pee nonetheless. ...
adorable kittien!07 Jul 2004 18:29 GMT4
Shaina does the cutest things! she is becoming a very good jumper and
sometimes is absolutely impossible to catch when she runs around.  a
few days ago, we had company and were "ignoring" her.  she was doing
her usual mad running about and trying to engage me in hunting.
Cat likes to make noise when I'm trying to fall asleep07 Jul 2004 17:28 GMT24
This had been happening for a while then stopped now he is doing it
again.  When I'm trying to go to sleep the cat starts to scratch on a
cabinet in my bedroom like when they want you to open a door.  There
is nothing in the cabinet, consequently nothing to interest him.  He
Synulox update07 Jul 2004 16:36 GMT3
I took my moggy to a new vet last saturday to see about getting him sorted,
was not happy with the other vet giving me drops.
He was given 2 injections, one antiinflamatory and one antibotic to start
him off, I got pills this time, much easier to give him, I am on day 3 now
deaf kitten07 Jul 2004 04:30 GMT6
This is kind of a long story.  My neighbor has lots of cats, dogs, and
children.  I like my neighbor, but I don't like the way he treats his
animals.  I'm sure he'd love to do better, but he's poor and poorly
educated.  His cats are all indoor/outdoor cats.  All of the older ones ...
Kami's lab numbers07 Jul 2004 02:13 GMT1
I just got these faxed over for the new vet and I thought I'd share
Kami's lab numbers with you for opinions.  I'm not sure which ones
are important for CRF (probably the ones that have "high" or "low"
printed next to them, so that's what I'm posting).
Quirky behavior from one of my cats06 Jul 2004 20:39 GMT8
I have two cats.  The newest has been with me roughly 6 months, the other about
six years.  The kitty that I've had for six months was a stray and is a female.
My other cat is a male.  Long story short, whenever I put the stray on my lap
and talk baby talk toh her and pet her, when ...
Tapazole and blood clots06 Jul 2004 20:32 GMT38
Has anyone ever heard of Tapazole causing blood clots?  A few days ago, a
cat at the shelter who was hyperthyroid threw a clot and was rushed to the
vet's, but died.  It was very sad.  Somehow it's gotten around that the
Tapazole caused or contributed to the cat developing a blood ...
Arizona Humane Society Needs Cat Food06 Jul 2004 17:27 GMT53
The Arizona Humane Society is badly in need of cat food, both dry and canned
because of the large number of injured, abused, sick, and pregnant cats they
have been taking in. You can read all about it at www.azhumane.org.
Half of all men and 1/3 of women due to get cancer06 Jul 2004 17:22 GMT1
Dear gentle reader,
Half of all men and one-third of all women in the U.S. will develop cancer
during their
lifetime. However, the risk of developing most types of cancer can be reduced
patchy hair loss over nose06 Jul 2004 17:20 GMT5
My one year old american short hair suddenly is losing patches of hair
around his nose and under his eyes.  It looks like mange.  Any input
would be helpful.

It's time to take Cheeks back to the vet for a checkup. What she needs is a
basic physical exam, and for the vet to listen to her lungs to see if they
sound clear. This is because she has had asthma and now shows no signs of it
that I can see. If her lungs are not clear, I might go ...
Megan - Declaw Hall of Shame?06 Jul 2004 13:08 GMT6
I was trying to send a link to someone for your Declaw Hall of Shame but can't
seem to access the page.  Have you moved it?
Thanks,

Orange female cats??!06 Jul 2004 10:32 GMT18
For a long time I was under the impression that all completely orange
(as opposed to calicos with some orange) cats were males, just as the
vast majority of all torties are female.  But I have several strays
that hang out in my back yard, and I've seen what I believed to be an
