Pets' Fate After Involuntary Psychiatric Commitment06 Jul 2004 10:06 GMT7
Today I'm not posting about my cat.  Do I ever wish I were.  I'd like
to know if anyone on this group can tell me what would/will happen
under the following circumstances: An alcoholic family member who is a
pet-collector (no cats; two dogs; more than fifteen birds) is

My 2 cats one persian and one regular cat, poop in the basement.  They seem
to hit one area near the litter boxes.  I keep thier boxes clean and they do
use them occasionally.  I think the persian uses the litter box more often
than not but the other cat is always pooping on the ...
What To Do With A Stray Cat?????06 Jul 2004 01:56 GMT4
Seem I have a stray that wants to move in. I already have 5 cats so its out of
the question. Its been hanging around on my back deck day and night for a few
days. Its very friendly and comes running to me every time I walk out the door
and follows me all around the yard when I'm out ...
Wakmah06 Jul 2004 01:32 GMT5
I have recently come across a device that deals very well with the
issue of restroom door handles and it is called a WAKMAH. I got it
from a pub in London somewhere and it does the trick and is quite good
fun too
Untreatable liver failure?05 Jul 2004 03:27 GMT7
A year ago, my parent?s cat (then 12.5 years old) lost a lot of
weight. He had previously been overweight. My parents noticed he
hadn?t eaten for a couple days and appeared ill (staying in a corner
all day). They too him to the vet and a blood test showed elevated
Kitty with dry skin/dandruff04 Jul 2004 16:02 GMT5
Does anyone know if anything that can help with dry/flaky skin on a cat?
She is currently eating Science Diet sensitive skin and it's helped a little
but she's still dry.
Seems to have this dry skin since she started having allergies a year ago.
Cats and Coyotes04 Jul 2004 03:07 GMT19
It looks like I lost my beloved little guy to a coyote. The cat and I
had bonded to each other, and I'm heartbroken.
When I get over this I might like to adopt another cat, not just any
cat, but one that appeals to me as much as the little guy did when I
Kittens decide to seperate04 Jul 2004 02:40 GMT1
I have 2 kittens from same litter. They were born on 3/29/04, both
girls. Before they stay together almost all the time, but now, they
seems to seperate from each other a little bit. I was wondering why?
In fact, they do have different personality. One is more outgoing, the
My little buddy and the plan that backfired(Longish)03 Jul 2004 23:56 GMT17
Hi folks. After posting this last week concerning my cats problems and
reading your replies, I thought I'd share how this little guy came into our
lives. Not a big deal to anyone else I guess, but thought I'd share it
anyway. First I will say that I have always been a dog person, ...
sneezing03 Jul 2004 23:54 GMT29
Shaina sneezes and she sneezes too much for my liking.  her eyes water
also too much for my liking, though she is acting perfectly normal and
healthy.  i wonder if it's the dust in the apartment (Shaina is closer
to the floor than any of us) and the crap coming from the
Cat don't want dry food anymore03 Jul 2004 21:53 GMT6
At least not at this time after his difficulties of the last couple a
weeks. He has always eaten dry food. As I mentioned in an earlier post the
vet had given us something to stimulate his appetite. It doesn't seem to
need to be stimulated however as he will readily eat canned food. ...

My cat has been diagnosed with CRF (in June) and I am currently giving her
sub Q fluids with a special diet. Any feedback on how long other cats have
lived with this condition and treatment? Thanks in advance.

Mr. Bonkers and the epoxied tail03 Jul 2004 20:08 GMT13
So here I am trying to glue a birdbath together before the wife gets home
(don't ask) and Mr. Bonkers decides to help. Swish, swish and his tail is
covered in unmixed epoxy resin. I removed most of it with a towel and then
used a rag soaked in rubbing alcohol and then washed the ...
Jackie goes to the vet03 Jul 2004 18:26 GMT2
I figured that I'd better take her in. She lost some weight and is now
5.4 lbs, down from 5.7. That's the bad news. The good news is that
there was an anal sac problem and it was cleaned out, so hopefully the
little brown trail will cease.
Hushpad Update - possible home!03 Jul 2004 10:26 GMT17
A young woman contacted the rescue league about adopting an older cat.  The
person who took her call told her about Hushpad, so they arranged to have
them meet.  The woman was screened by a more senior volunteer and also by
the current foster mom.  She fell in love with Hushpad and ...
