anybody there?22 Jul 2004 19:00 GMT3
Can nobody give me any information about intestinal lymphoma?  My cat is
scheduled for surgery on Friday and I admit I'm a bit depressed that nobody
has responded.   Please consider sharing your stories with me!
little bold spots over eyes22 Jul 2004 18:45 GMT9
my kitten had little spots over her eyes where she doesn't have that
much fur anymore. she doesnt' seem to have any skin conditions and is
not itchy.  i wonder if this is just from grooming herself with her
paws.
Update: Buddha's Hyperthyroid Treatment22 Jul 2004 18:18 GMT6
Finally, after four visits, they got a urine sample from Buddha today. The
vet said her urine looks good and does not indicate any kidney problems in
and of itself. (He checked it for "specific gravity?")
He wrote us a prescription for Tapazole in 10 mg tablets, half of one every
kitten not amenable to any rules22 Jul 2004 18:13 GMT15
Shaina is now able to get to pretty much any place in the apartment.
We don't want her on the kitchen table, but no matter what i do, she
just doesn't care.  She is especially stubborn when she wants to eat,
so i don't give her wet food when she demands it after i remove her
Feline blindness22 Jul 2004 15:49 GMT5
Hello, Group:
Within the past ten or twelve days I noticed some odd behavior in my
six-year-old female cat Alice -- she won't stay on the floor or any
other place she considers "too low". She stays on the refrigerator, on a
Why does Tiger do this?22 Jul 2004 15:41 GMT4
My house is backwards.  Bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs (in the
foundation) and living room-kitchen are upstairs in a 22' X 30' log
home.  I have a small piece of fleece (about 24" X 24") which I keep in
the bunkroom next to the carrier.  Tiger keeps bringing it upstairs and
Which prescription diet best for chronic constipation/lazy bowels?22 Jul 2004 15:41 GMT24
My 1.5 year-old male tabby recently had a bad bout of constipation.  Toby
did not poo for over two days and a vet check-up found a substantially
distended colon.  The vet immediately put him on Propulsid (bowel stimulant)
and Duphalac (lactulose syrup) but he still refused to poo ...
Possible lymphoma, need advice22 Jul 2004 15:33 GMT3
Willie, male neutered cat almost 14, has been losing weight for a period of
over a year.  His other symptoms are flatulence, possible diarrhea,
excessive hunger and thirst.
Because I was dealing with two other health crises in my pets, I put off
TK's due for his first rabies shot. Now what?22 Jul 2004 14:32 GMT1

I'm very happy to report that TK's almost at the 5 month mark of his 6 month rabies
quarantine and is doing fine. So at the 5 month mark, he's due for his first rabies
shot. My understanding is that after 5 months his chance of developing rabies is
excessive dandruff/flaking22 Jul 2004 13:34 GMT1
I have a medium-hair cat who has a lot of dandruff/skin flakes showing in his
black fur.  I brush him every night.  The only thing I can think of is that I
put in a window air conditioner a month or so ago.  Since the air conditioner
removes moisture, maybe it's too dry in here.  ...
Kitten with skinned lower jaw22 Jul 2004 04:58 GMT18
Finally back online after a rather bad computer crash.  Don't you just
love machines?
Last night at work we had a person drop off a stray kitten found on
the side of the road.  He's about 12 weeks old and appears very
Claw clipping question22 Jul 2004 04:04 GMT5
I recently took in a stray or abandoned two year old cat and
need to trim his claws. He is very friendly and allows me to
handle his paws and extend his claws, so I hope he is also
accustomed to having his claws clipped. All that I have read
Picky eater22 Jul 2004 02:53 GMT6
How do you best handle a very picky eater. My little buddie was a dry food
eater till his problems of a few weeks ago. Since then have been able to get
him to eat can food. Started him on Iams and he only would eat the chicken
and turkey. He would have nothing to do with any of the ...
Thoughts on Feliway?22 Jul 2004 01:15 GMT17
I'm having a problem with two cats and I'm considering using Feliway
to try and help them get along.  I like to hear about any experiences
with it, both good and bad.
This is the situation right now...Heather is a five year old DLH with
Cat can't process any amount of hair.22 Jul 2004 00:41 GMT1
I have a large, medium-hair cat.  I brush him every night, and I pull off about
3 brushfuls of hair each night.  He is also on hairball remedy Nutromax.
Despite these things, he throws up hair either nightly, or every couple of
nights.  It's as if his system can't pass any amount ...
