Screaming cat23 Jun 2004 17:15 GMT15
Hi all - I'm posting here because I'm desperate! My 3 cats are normally
well-behaved, but Milo, my 3-year old male and the youngest of the 3,
screams at me when I'm in the kitchen.
I don't know how else to describe it - it's a long, drawn-out yowling

I'm taking a litter of 3,   6 week old stray kittens in for a leukemia
test in the morning, they're not a healthy litter. Please pray that they
are okay..
Thanks so much,
mouse baby23 Jun 2004 07:56 GMT12
my cat just brought me a squealing little mouse baby.  It is still alive,
probably in shock.  It is about an inch long and fully furred.  It has 2
tiny upper and 2 tiny lower teeth.  I would have just let it go outside but
its eyes aren't open!
Cat Owner Olympics23 Jun 2004 01:18 GMT5
Apparently as an advertising gimmick, Meow Mix marketing folks have come up
with a traveling "Cat Olympics"...where cat owners can, among other things,
hone their litterbox-changing skills and such to compete. Whatever. But here's
the text from the ad:
Cats Glued Together Find Homes22 Jun 2004 18:14 GMT6
Well it looks like the story about the cats found glued together after a
break-in at a business has a happy ending. According to the Arizona Humane
Society the mother cat and her kittens have all been adopted. They also
found the suspect which turned out to be a 12 year old kid. He ...

My cat, a diabetic, and ON DM only, just ate a roll that my roomate
left out.
I am 1) furious at my roomate for leaving it out.
2) MAD at my cat for eating it.
My foster cat Hushpad22 Jun 2004 14:47 GMT14
Here she is! http://www.sarl-nh.org/cats/catHushpad.htm
Hushpad is on the SARL website now.  I thought some of you might be
interested in seeing her, since I've posted so many questions asking for
help with her.
Keeping kittens from nursing22 Jun 2004 08:36 GMT5
The kittens are 10 weeks, and I've been unsuccessful in finding good
homes, so decided to keep both kittens and mother.  They have been
weaned for over two weeks, and the queen was spayed and is almost
fully dry.
Cats Fighting22 Jun 2004 07:28 GMT4
Warning - this is long!
I have two cats who were littermates and never separated in their
three years. Until this week they've had a wonderful relationship and
we lived in peace and harmony.
Neighbor's cat is a mean old bitch22 Jun 2004 05:20 GMT76
Late last summer the house next door was sold. Shortly after the new
people moved in I noticed they had a black and white "tuxedo" girl
cat. They let the cat out during the day while they are at work and
bring her in when they get home. This is a very quiet, cat-friendly
HELP! Chewing and breathing problems22 Jun 2004 03:59 GMT7
Our 18 year old cat has been having some problems on and off for years
now and they suddenly have gotten worse. The first problem is that she
has a hard time chewing her food. We feed her canned food which she
usually gobbles up quickly, but recently she does this weird thing
Tiger gets the full treatment tomorrow22 Jun 2004 03:59 GMT3
I have to deliver Tiger to the vet at 8AM tomorrow.  He will get mats
groomed out, belly combed, butt shaved, teeth cleaned, rabies shot
(Purevax), and FVRCP shot.  After all that, he will probably be mad at
me for a few days (and I will be over $200 poorer).
Prozac22 Jun 2004 02:11 GMT11
I took Jewel to the veterinary behaviorist yesterday.  She confirmed
the redirected aggression thoughts I had about her episodes.  She
explained that it is caused by a defect in a gene which causes an
abnormal and extreme reaction to certain stimuli.  And since the
Insomniac cat22 Jun 2004 01:38 GMT1
Our 2 year old cat, does not seem to sleep enough. She gets about 8
hours a day, same as us. Barring any midnight wanders that we are not
aware of. She does take the occasional rest and an afternoon nap every
few days.
Cat Has BAD Breath21 Jun 2004 15:38 GMT5
Tonight my one year old cat breathed my way, and I had to turn my head away
from him.  He's been eating Science Diet Seafood Recipe which has a pretty
bad smell of it's own.  Otherwise, I don't know what's wrong with him.
Maybe this is a natural thing?  Maybe I should start giving ...
