Birthday Feast!27 Jun 2004 04:26 GMT4
In less than a week my Siamese kitten Mico will be one year old - on June
26th.  I am thinking of what to give him for a birthday treat, and the best
thing I can think of is chopped calve's liver.  Is this the best I can do?
Or can somebody suggest better?
The best laid plans...27 Jun 2004 04:24 GMT53
So, Jack and Natasha have now come to live with me. As some of you
may recall, I had a very well-planned introduction process mapped
out. And here's the status...
1. Intercom rings; it is Jack and Natasha's owner, here with the new
Day two with the new kitties27 Jun 2004 04:15 GMT18
Well, Jacob still rules this roost, old and creaky and CRF-y or not.
:-)
The cats continue to interact amazingly well. They're still cautious
around each other, but overall, they're getting along swimmingly.
rattlesnake bite 27 Jun 2004 03:01 GMT20
I live in San Diego and my cat just recently survived a rattlesnake bite, just
letting everyone know to make sure their cats have bells on to alert rattlers
of their presence to protect them.  Also I went with steroidal & antibiotic
treatment as opposed to antivenom, reason?  I ...
Slightly OT - "Two Brothers" movie.26 Jun 2004 19:50 GMT4
Anyone else planning on seeing the movie "Two Brothers" when it comes out
this weekend?  I saw a trailer for it when we went to see Shrek 2, and it
looks pretty good.  It's about two tiger brothers in colonial Cambodia.
They end up getting separated, one is a boy's pet for a while, ...

My Siamese Has IBD (Or So Was Told)26 Jun 2004 07:29 GMT94
I need an opinion please ... 2nd, 3rd, it doesn't matter.  My mind is open
to all possibilities and explanations.
I have a 12-year old Tonkinese whom I had boarded 2 weeks ago when my family
and I went out of town.  I left him with a reputable vet in my area on a
Rabies shots26 Jun 2004 03:01 GMT2
I just had Tiger get the rabies shot.  I wanted the Purevax (for safety)
but the vet says it's only good for one year.  Why is that?

Urinary Blockage - NOT Males Only26 Jun 2004 01:05 GMT2
It happens to females as well. Came this !! close to losing her.
Naturally it happened on a holiday -Memorial day when my regular vet was
closed. Saw her acting strange that morning  but I had to go out for a while.
Came home about 11AM and she seemed worse. It seemed all to ...
Cat skin breakout now okay25 Jun 2004 19:17 GMT1
Last week I asked about my cat RJ who had a skin rash or similar just
below his ears, above his eyes. He did not seem bothered by this and
did not groom or scratch it at all (which is why I didn't notice it
right away).
kitten becoming aggressive25 Jun 2004 19:15 GMT34
when i got Shaina, she did pounce on hands when playing, but i trained
her not to bite hard and not to scratch by making high pitched noise
when she hurt me. she also loved to be held.  in the past 2-3 days,
though, she turned in to a little vicious tiger, mostly during the
Surprisingly Aggressive Behavior by Older Kitten Towards New Kitten25 Jun 2004 18:41 GMT11
We currently have a 6 month old ragdoll cat (Hummy - male) who's been
with us for 3 months now.  On Monday we brought back home a 3 month
old ragdoll cat (Normy - male) that we purchased from the same
breeder.  We were expecting for things to go fairly smoothly given
Cat food choices25 Jun 2004 18:36 GMT30
We are thinking about slowly changing our cats' food brand. They have
been on Iams, but I've read/heard some bad things about it lately.
Yes, my cats are healthy, but I would like them to get the best
nutrition for what I can afford. I've done a little research, and my
Cat Spraying25 Jun 2004 18:17 GMT4
I've had some great responses to my feline questions before, so now I
am actually writing for my sister and her family.  She previously
owned a spayed female Maine Coon who sprayed everything in sight for
months - furniture, walls, carpet, etc. She did everything they could
Cat seizures25 Jun 2004 18:07 GMT19
Hi all, one of my cats has been having seizures. I noticed a month or
so ago that she was accidentally bumping into objects, and thought,
that is normal for cats, because all cats do this periodically. But
she kept getting worse, and had a full-blown seizure (very scary) so I
