Bald spot after Frontline treatment04 Jun 2004 22:28 GMT5
I treated my foster cat yesterday with Frontline because I saw a flea in the
carpet in her room and she was scratching.  I thoroughly cleaned and
vaccuumed the room.  Today, I noticed a nickel-size bald spot on her, near
where I applied the Frontline.  I'm not sure if the spot is ...
Transporting cats long distances04 Jun 2004 22:12 GMT1
Hi again,
My brother in law's mother is moving from FL to PA in the near future.  She
has a couple cats she plans to bring with her.  I wonder if you might give
some advice about how best to transport the kitties on a long distance
More ideas for kitten peeing on carpet problem?04 Jun 2004 22:06 GMT5
We have tried all the tricks that have been suggested to train a kitten to
pee in litter box and he is still peeing on the carpet.  Here is the
background and what we have done:
He is 3 months old. (had him since he was 8 wks......a loving purring

I've written before, but brief synopsis:  Carey, 10.75 yo tortie.  Became
paralyzed April 2002, regained use with meds (continuing) and time.  Sees a
neurologist.  Narrowed down diagnosis is seizure-type activity/brain tumor.
Started at illness by attacking me if there was a ...
Feedback from othesr???04 Jun 2004 17:06 GMT6
My 15 year old cat was vomiting more frequently and losing weight. She is on
Tapazole for hyperthyroidism and recently had a full blood panel 2 months
ago. I took her to the vet today. He said she is uremic with a urea level of
129. Two months ago, this level was 43. He is keeping ...
Ping: Lauren (OT - Steam Mop)04 Jun 2004 03:39 GMT9
Hi Lauren,
You asked about the Bissell Steam Cleaner, and I promised to let you know
what I think of it after I use it.  Well, I'm good at procrastinating, but
I'm on vacation now and  finally got around to using it.  I bought this
Alternatives to surgery? Luxating Patella03 Jun 2004 22:48 GMT6
Meep had her followup appointment today.  If you read my last post,
you'll know that Meep was diagnosed with a luxating patella last week.
Didn't seem too bad, was given an antiinflammatory.  The hope was that
this was an ongoing, minor problem that had been exacerbated somehow

how to tell if cat is in pain?03 Jun 2004 20:41 GMT6
i accidentally kicked the cat, and she hit her head on the metal frame
of our futon (i was getting up, and she thought i was heading for the
kitchen, as she always does, so i didn't see her when i took my first
step).  I didn't think anything of it, since she seemed ok, but there
rock and a hard place 03 Jun 2004 20:35 GMT11
So my 14 year old has IBD and needs hypoallergenic cat food.  I've been
giving her IVD but recently discovered the parent company is involved in
animal testing, so I'd like to switch.  My problem is that I can't find a
hypoallergenic food that is made by a company that *doesn't* do ...

EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DIARY
DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling
objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry
cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the
Question on Torti Cat Behavior03 Jun 2004 16:13 GMT15
I have a Torti who is now a year and a month old.  I've noticed some odd
behavior from her.  She "meows" an awful lot around me. Like if I'm laying
in bed. She'll find a spot and sit there and maybe for a few seconds and she
gets up and meows some more and finds another spot and ...
Cat water fountain--no takers03 Jun 2004 16:12 GMT13
So I've had the Petmate water fountain up for two days...nice little
trickling of water with accompanying gentle sound--specifically ordered for
future trip I'm going on and for one of two cats that won't drink out of
anything but sinks, old grungy water containers outside, etc.
My cat has an URI - best wishes plesase03 Jun 2004 15:54 GMT8
First post here, but I've been lurking for a while.  I'm looking for
best wishes as I take one of our cats to the vet for an URI (I think).
A few weeks ago our cat sitter had to back out suddenly before we were
going out of town, so we had to board our two cats, Shadow (11 month
Continued aggressive episodes03 Jun 2004 13:45 GMT13
Things have not gone well here since that episode where I walked in on
Jewel after holding the neighborhood cat, and Jewel having the
aggressive episode.  That was last Thursday.  Since then she has had
"episodes" on Tuesday and Thursday again.  These were not so bad that
