toxoplasmosis07 Jun 2004 20:45 GMT21
I'm just having a little argument with my wife about toxoplasmosis.  She
insists pregnant women should not clean a cat litter box because of
toxoplasmosis (note: this is just an academic debate, she is not pregnant).
I think that if the cats are house cats and are not allowed out of ...

I've adopted a three-month-old DSH/Siamese mix kitten from the local
shelter.  Everything is going well, and she's getting along swimmingly
with my two other cats.
She weighed in at four pounds at the vet, but to look at her she seems

We're going to be traveling across the country with three cats, two
neutered males about three years old, and an un-neutered male about
nine months old. One of the older cats only tolerates the younger one,
and the other older cat gets along okay with the young one. The two

Pacing, meowing06 Jun 2004 23:42 GMT1
For the past couple weeks my 4 year old male cat has spent most of his
time pacing up and down the hallway, going from one room to another,
while meowing most of the time.
The only time he stops the noise is when eating or sleeping. The noise

snail bait dangerous?06 Jun 2004 15:07 GMT2
The snail bait I just bought lists a warning not to use when pets are around
as they may eat it.  Will cats eat this?  If so, is it dangerous to them?

Cat pulling out her fur05 Jun 2004 23:30 GMT3
I have a tiny 17 year old siamese.  About a month ago she started pulling
out tufts of fur.  She just sits down and grabs her fur and starts tearing
it out.  She doesn't seem to be sick and so far no bald spots.  Any ideas on
what could be causing this?  The vet said a food allergy ...

Cat urinating, nothing works05 Jun 2004 21:10 GMT15
Have an extreme situation here. I've already covered all the bases

Female cat simulating spraying (ie:  Happy Butt)05 Jun 2004 11:36 GMT4
Hiya,
My calico and my black tomcat both go through the motions of spraying -
tail straight up, twitching near the base.  They're all fixed. Although
Harley, the calico, did go into heat once before she was fixed.
Update on Willi05 Jun 2004 05:05 GMT4
Willi's surgery during my trip to France was a relative success. Most of the
tumour in his neck was removed. However, since it is a bone cancer they were
not able to remove it all - as it originates at the cervical spine. Thus Willi
still has the cancer - osteosarcoma. He is back ...
