Dilemma/Annie-loooong30 Jun 2004 18:06 GMT24
Okay, my turn to have a dilemma.  Some of you may know that we now have only 2
cats, Scottie, 7, neutered male, and Abbey, 3, spayed female.  On 3/27 (3
months ago today), we had our beloved Cory, 18, euthanized.  In 2001, we had

Can cats coexist with pennyroyal plantings?30 Jun 2004 16:42 GMT11
Because my wife is acutely sensitive to mosquito bites, I've
agreed to commit significant space in our yard to plants said to
be disagreeable to mosquitoes. I've focused on pennyroyal
(mentha pulegium). However, we have a cat, so I want to run this
Cruel to be kind?30 Jun 2004 09:34 GMT95
Okay. I feel like a monster.
The Phantom , alias Trotsky, alias The Sleeping Policeman, was a local stray
who decided he would risk life and limb and the terrors of the unknown by
sneaking into the house to devour our cat's food.
Kitten difficulty drinking and meowing30 Jun 2004 05:55 GMT2
I am a new mother of 2 nine-week old kittens.  I haven't had kittens
in a while, so I may be a little paranoid.  My little boy kitten seems
to have a difficult time drinking water.  I noticed that when he's
drinking, he'll stop quite frequently and almost tip his head back as
Flea Control30 Jun 2004 02:54 GMT12
In your opinion what is the best flea control for cats?  My  vet
recommends Frontline, and adds that all the other products are "junk."
Iam wondering if he says this because he has a contract with the
Frontline Company or if there is some validity to the statement.
shy cat scared of new puppy30 Jun 2004 00:56 GMT6
My girlfriend and I are going insane trying to house train (crate) our
new puppy and to convince our amazing but shy cat not to be scared of
him.  The house training we feel OK with, it is the dog-cat
relationship that is troubling.
overweight cat over eating30 Jun 2004 00:31 GMT46
I have two cats -- a 6 year old domestic shorthair male, and a 4.5
year old smoke persian female.  We've had both since they were 8 weeks
old.  The persian has always only eated canned Iams kitten food or
adult chicken flavor.  She will eat nothing else, even if we feed her
Strange peeing behaviors30 Jun 2004 00:29 GMT4
My 2 year-old cat is displaying some strange peeing behaviors.
First of all, she will not pee when I am away from home.  Many times
it is 12 hours or more before she pees (I've been keeping track) and
she will not go until after I come home from work.  When I am home, so
Cat sh.ts on floor!  Help!29 Jun 2004 22:56 GMT115
Male cat born 1/10/04 (so he's five months old now.)  I got him about 6
weeks ago from a shelter.  He had been an indoor cat and had lived with
his mother and siblings.
From the very first day he would go into one particular corner of our
Flea TICK, COLLAR, DROPS?, QUESTIONS, PLEASE!!!!29 Jun 2004 21:36 GMT23
We look after a large bunch of cats at a farm. Some live outside, some
come inside. But 90% very freindly and NOT feral.
The cats are getting LOTS of TICKS right now. (And I had one stuck to
my neck too, from holding cat).

that Unarity track infection, My Romeo is missed every day. Honey was
kept at the vet with her Husband and our other cat for 6 days while we
traveled. When we returned most of Honeys hair had fallen out, She
Which litter an tray is best29 Jun 2004 18:20 GMT17
Hi every1,
I was just wondering if anyone had any views on which type of litter (clay,
wood, catsan, silica) is best to use.
AND which kind of litter tray? Has anyone tried the 'self-cleaning ones'?
Licking, listless, etc....29 Jun 2004 18:12 GMT12
My 9-year-old neutered male cat, Gideon, has suddenly (within the last
week or so) started exhibited unusual changes in behavior and some
symptoms that something isn't right. He will suddenly jump up and
start licking himself -- usually one of his hind legs. He also will

I won't be visiting this NG again, or any time soon; I was looking for
info on pets, and not a bunch of inter-group rocks being thrown at other
people posting here. That's a shame, but I guess when some of you GROW
UP, and realize that this is a NG regarding pets and pet-care, and ...
