Advice Needed on Cat Behaviour!31 May 2004 06:44 GMT4
My cat is female (her name is enson) and is about 15 years old (we
picked her up as a stray). The cat from across the road (also female)
comes over every morning and they both snarl, meow and paw angrily at
each other through the side fence to my neighbour's house. They dont
ibd + diabetes31 May 2004 04:31 GMT12
Hi. My cat Al has had a rough go of it the last 6 months. First,
pancreatitis, which necessitated a week's stay in the hospital. Then,
hypoglycemia about 3 weeks ago---scared the sh*t out of me! It occurred
around midnight, and I was running red lights and stop signs getting Al

It holds 2.8 liters of water.  How much Rescue Remedy should I put in the
reservoir when I fill it to achieve the recommended concentration?
Nutro Complete Care.  Opinions?29 May 2004 22:29 GMT4
Well, we finally ran out of the Science Diet Savory Cuts Ocean Fish.  I
bought some of the chicken, but she just ain't thrilled.  She's wasted
a great deal and begs for food.  Just doesn't like eating all of it.
I bought a pouch of Nutro Complete Care because the values were still ...

very constipated cat29 May 2004 21:23 GMT14
I work in a bookstore, and on Friday I noticed that Harriet was
checking out the litter box a lot, but wasn't really going.  I came to
work on Saturday, and saw that she was going from one box to the next
and trying to go unsuccessfully.
Orphaned Cats - What to Do?29 May 2004 20:32 GMT38
My wife is concerned whenever we go on vacation that if something happens to
us, the two cats will be orphaned.
Does anyone have information or guidance on how to protect your pets
(insurance...if you will) to ensure they are cared for if they were
Damn, Nipsy killed a bird29 May 2004 19:08 GMT16
I let the boys out into the backyard after getting home. A couple of
minutes later Nipsy comes running in with a bird in his mouth. A
little sparrow. I never thought he could actually catch one. It wasn't
even dead when I saw that he had it but it wasn't going to be getting
Feline Pine scooper tool?29 May 2004 18:39 GMT10
I'm trying to switch my three cats over to Feline Pine litter, for a
variety of reasons, but the tools I have that I used to use to scoop out
clumps and feces have sifter holes in them that are too small for the
Feline Pine pellets to fall through.
Free cat to good home - Etobicoke, ON29 May 2004 17:33 GMT1
Zoe is a healthy clean female 3 year-old tri-colour cat who has been fixed.
She's shy at first but eventually is very friendly and affectionate.  She
'talks' too.

Cats Necks are Bald from Collars!29 May 2004 15:58 GMT3
We just realized that our 5 and 6 year old cats necks are bald where the
collar sits. It's like the collars molded a strip of their necks hairless. I
can see the skin of the cats where the collar lies on both.
Is this harmful? Painful?

Below are brief summaries of what happens to some of the animals used
in studies supported by Iams: All of which would not be the norm in a
world in which vivisection was  abolished.
Cat with liver problems28 May 2004 21:37 GMT6
Ugh, don't you just hate when you take your cat to the vet only to find that
she has a totally unrelated problem???
She has elevated liver values. We are waiting in limbo to find out what is
going to happen with her. She also turned out to have elevated thyroid values

My grandparents have a male, neutered cat that is about 5 years old.
He had a stroke a couple years ago and never fully recovered so he
stays indoors. This cat has gained so much weight and now weighs 25
pounds. My grandmother finally took him to the vet and the vet put him
