Opinions on fatty liver/possible pancreatitis problem10 Apr 2004 03:57 GMT40
We have a 6 yr old tabby who was recently introduced (February) to a new
member of the house, a maine coon mix from the local shelter.  He
brought what appeared to be a cold home with him, which he transmitted
to Pnut.  During most of February, she was dealing with the effects of ...
Introducing a new cat09 Apr 2004 21:45 GMT1
I have a cat who, although I love him to bits, is totally paranoid. He is
convinced that any new event is something terrible and runs away.
About 3 weeks ago I got a new cat. She is a small sweet-natured nuter who is
about as unintimidating as you can imagine. Unfortunately, Mr ...
Finding apartments that take 4 cats?09 Apr 2004 06:09 GMT14
My wife and I are in a real bind. I lost my job and thus we have to sell
our house. We need to find an apartment, but are having a really difficult
time finding an apartment that doesn't have a 2 cat limit. The funny thing
is, many of them will allow 2 giant dogs. 2 elephants. Just ...
"Widowed" cat will not stop crying08 Apr 2004 09:37 GMT34
Until 2 months ago, I had 2 wonderful older cats.  The 15 year old
male was finally put down when his cancer was too much for both of us.
My 17 year old spayed female cat, who has been left behind, now howls
deep gutteral meows on and off all day and night.  I thought after a
Another Careless Cat Person08 Apr 2004 09:28 GMT1
It is just sickening to see the lengths people will go to in order to make a
fast buck. This ad I found on gopetsonline.com shows just how careless some
people are with cats not to mention disgusting!

Has anyone tried this food?  Just saw it appear at the local pet food
stores, and it sounds like a decent food.  I'm awaiting a reply from the
company with a detailed nutrient analysis, but in the meantime..
Cat's Ear Odor !!08 Apr 2004 04:40 GMT3
Our 6 yr old Black Shorthaired cat has developed a FOUL odor eminating
from his ears...like rotten shrimp.
We've recently treated for mites...
He shows no signs of distress.
And I thought my cat was fat...08 Apr 2004 03:35 GMT27

It may seem that I am making light of this, but I really don't think it's
very funny.  My cat *is* slightly overweight but not so much that it affects
her health, and I do watch her intake very carefully (she's still on a
Cat Walkers??07 Apr 2004 23:43 GMT12
Hello Friendly Feline Folk!
I have a two year old balinese cat and she REALLY is curious about the great
outdoors..Problem being she has never been outside so I'm flirting with the
idea of buying a harness and 'trying' to take her on some strolls
Cats in the bathroom..07 Apr 2004 21:32 GMT26
Just tossing this out for observation and comment.
I have 2 cats in my household, a 4 year old spayed female and a 9 month old
female due for neutering soon. Both are quite contented, well adjusted to
each other and the household in general. Both have a normal interest in
Maternal instinct07 Apr 2004 05:09 GMT35
This seems to be the next chapter in the story of the foster
cat, Victoria, whose litter was terminated during a spay operation.
We also had a family of 4 kittens and mother in the dining room.
Gradually, after she returned from the vet on Tuesday night, Victoria
Bad breath and...?07 Apr 2004 04:20 GMT13
A general rule, as I have read, is that bad breath is a harbinger of
illness in your cat in one form or another.
But here's the thing - what should I be smelling for?
It's granted that my cats are probably never going to have minty fresh
putting to sleep options?07 Apr 2004 03:16 GMT12
Our cat is not going to make it.
What are the options that vet will give me to put her to sleep?
What options for body disposal with vet ( I dont want to bring her home to
bury in back yard)
