Time to neuter?17 Apr 2004 23:52 GMT20
A question:
what is the earliest time one should neuter one's male cat?
what sorts of behavioral problems other than spraying does this address?
Cat Shipped From China17 Apr 2004 19:12 GMT3
This cat is indeed lucky. The poor little feline must have been so hungry,
tired and scared. I am glad she survived and hopefully will get adopted into
a good and loving home.

How do you cure an unpleasant cat?17 Apr 2004 16:24 GMT7
2 years ago we aquired our cat as a kitten from a rescue centre.
She was born at the centre as it was her mother who was the rescued
cat.
She has always been really independant and at first was wary of us and
Cat Collars With Bells On Them17 Apr 2004 16:20 GMT13
I went out shopping for a new collar for Isis and discovered many of them
come with bells on them. Does anyone else have a cat that has a collar with
a on it?
My Cat Bites Me17 Apr 2004 16:07 GMT11
I'm new to cats, having recently adopted a stray. I've had him vet-checked,
vaccinated, wormed and have him on flea and heartworm preventative. I found
out that the vet living down the street had already neutered him. He's very
sweet and getting more affectionate all the time. ...
New vaccination protocol link needed17 Apr 2004 15:50 GMT21
I know this has been posted many many times but does anyone have a good
link for the new vaccination protocol? I did a net search but I want an
article posted with good credentials to print and take the vet tomorrow.

Indoor cat figured out doggie door17 Apr 2004 15:14 GMT15
Hi. My wife has lost two cats in the last few years that just ran away and
never returned. So she is really concerned that our current indoor cat
Brittney will flee now that she has gone out the doggie door a couple of
times. We are currently locking the doggie door while she has ...
Keeping cat away from monitor: Localized ultrasonic 'no-cat' zone..17 Apr 2004 07:05 GMT7
Here's an idea I've come up with in the past few weeks: make a device
that would create a focused, low-intensity ultrasonic field that could
create (hopefully) a "no-cat" zone in front of a computer-monitor for
instance (this is our problem)  The only two problems I see is 1) ...
Clickers16 Apr 2004 23:43 GMT7
Could someone explain to me the function of a 'clicker', I've heard they use
it to train big cats, how would you trian your kittie with one?

raw feeding / home diets - opinions?16 Apr 2004 16:24 GMT19
I've read a lot, pro and con, about raw meat and other home made diets for
cats.  What do people here think of them?  Does anyone here make their own
cat food?  I like the idea, but I'm afraid I would leave out some essential
nutrient, or else my cats would get sick from the raw ...
q-tips16 Apr 2004 07:36 GMT20
My cat LOVES to play with q-tips (cotton swabs).... he picks them up in his
mouth, bats them around, goes crazy with them.... he's as happy with one
that I hand him straight out of the box as he is stealing one from the
garbage container in the bathroom....
Tasteless use of cat in advertising16 Apr 2004 01:09 GMT381
I can only hope that the Brits use standards of not harming animals in
production of advertising like this. Still - address your outrage to Ford
for even protraying it.

The trash can16 Apr 2004 00:46 GMT17
Here's a problem I have that I'm certain is universal - cats in the
kitchen trash can.
Maybe it's the occasional empty tin of tuna I put in there, maybe it's
curiousity, but I find that my girls like to get into the trash can - or
Cat confined for the sake of another15 Apr 2004 18:06 GMT21
I have a cat that has been confined to either my windowed half-basement or
a bedroom of his own ever since last August.  He was a stray cat that I
finally accepted and had neutered because he wouldn't go away, and he had
started marking his territory.  He stopped the marking, and ...
