Kitty with Fever Home!26 Apr 2004 15:09 GMT2
My kitty with the 106 degree fever on Tuesday 4/20/04 is finally
home.  She's off of IV fluids and on Baytril antibiotic.  We're in a
watch and wait mode.  No cause has been found.  Thank all for
your support.
One cat picking on another26 Apr 2004 14:59 GMT7
I need some advice here.  I have a 6 cat household, 3 boys and 3 girls.  My
alpha male cat Bartleby has started picking on NewCat, an 8 year-old female.
Not to confuse things, but NewCat isn't the newest cat in the household,
it's just her name.  We added cat #6 about 3 months ago, ...
Injured Cat : Crushed pelvis, suggestions needed... please26 Apr 2004 14:54 GMT7
My 3 year old Calico was hit and then run over by a car yesterday
morning.  A trip to the Vet told us he was in severe shock and had a
crushed pelvis.  He has no feeling in one leg and his tail, although
he can move both.  Today the other leg is slightly swollen.  He also
Does diet food make *that* much of a diff?26 Apr 2004 14:43 GMT7
I'm thinking of putting my cats on diet Innova wet, off regular Innova
wet. But should I? It'd be a preventative measure, nothing more.
AzCATS Fundraiser26 Apr 2004 06:35 GMT1
Is anyone else going to the AzCATS fundraiser this Saturday? It looks like
it might be a lot of fun and might be a nice way to find out information
about feral cats and their care. You can find out about it at
www.azcats.org.
My cat is licking off big bald spots of fur26 Apr 2004 03:21 GMT11
My cat is licking off big bald spots of fur.
The spots are on his belly back and front leg.
We have had him to the Vet twice. Full exam with blood tests etc and
we have always given him excellent vet care and food and affection.
How many hitpoints do cats have?25 Apr 2004 22:02 GMT6
This is an important question. Will cats survive an attack of my
sword, doing 2D5+2 damage or are they to agile to hit?
How is the AC (armor class) of cats and what is their attack/damage ?
I suppose cats have claw- and tail attacks, does anyone know how much
A Pox on Thee, Hill's Science Diet!25 Apr 2004 22:02 GMT27
I'm so upset.  Kami won't eat the Hill's k/d prescription food and I
spent a lot of time and money finding a food she would eat that had the
closest values to the k/d formula possible.  We settled on Senior
Savory Cuts Ocean Fish.
Sapphire25 Apr 2004 18:27 GMT6
This week my Sapphire has to have a tooth pulled.  She will need light
anesthesia.  To make matters worse she doesn't seem to jump anymore and goes
up the stairs slowly.  The vet gave her a cortisone shot a week ago which if
it helped would mean she has arthritis.  I don't think it ...
More health benefits from cats25 Apr 2004 18:17 GMT3
Forget buying that yucky Metamucil - just get a long haired cat.  The
fur you ingest will provide plenty of fiber.
Cheers/2,
Jerry
Congestive heart failure25 Apr 2004 18:08 GMT1
I lost my little girl Munchkin to congestive heart failure a few days ago.
She was only eight years old. As you can imagine, it came as quite a shock.
I guess she had some sort of congenital heart defect. My question is, has
anyone heard of this before? Should I warn my ...
Top spot flea control25 Apr 2004 02:02 GMT3
Hi everyone - my cats (both desexed male DSHs) put up a fight when I
apply their monthly top spot anti-flea and worm treatment (but not as
much of a fight as trying to give them a pill!). That means I can't
neatly get the liquid onto the skin at the back of their neck; some
Cats with yellow diarrhea smelly also24 Apr 2004 21:51 GMT3
We have brought in several kittens from some local strays/ferrals that
we have been getting trapped and fixed and release back to my area for
a year or so.  Recently the young cats 9 months to 15 months are
having very liquid yellow diarrhea that is very smelly.  These cats
Looking for Orlando area Vet that refuses to declaw.24 Apr 2004 19:26 GMT2
I am looking for a vet in the Orlando, FL area that refuses to declaw
cats if just for the convenience of the owner.
I have consulted the list at http://community-2.webtv.net/zuzu22/Vets/
and there is no one listed in Florida.
