Troubling Changes in Old Cat's Behavior29 Apr 2004 03:55 GMT6
We had a cat who lived in the cellar until I moved in.  I trained her
to be an "upstairs" cat.  She never really socialized (big surprise),
but then she got to be so affectionate.
Anyway, when she was still confined to the downstairs, she'd go out in
Mounting Problem29 Apr 2004 03:49 GMT4
I have an orange tabby named Marmalade, he is 5 years old and neutered, we
got him from the shelter about 4 years ago.  All of our female and male cats
are neutered/spayed.  Ever since we moved, Marmalade keeps walking around
meowing at all hours of the day and night.  He has now ...
Cat Eats my hair28 Apr 2004 17:58 GMT11
As I type this, she's at it again. Even If I wear my hair up, she will crawl
up my back and pull it out of the ties I put it in and start munching. Last
night I came  home from the salon and she spent most of the night sniffing
it... now this morning, she's back to eating. Can ...
How to keep cats from attacking needlework?28 Apr 2004 14:43 GMT1
I haven't been able to have a nice relaxing evening of cross stitching for a
couple of years because Sundance keeps attacking either the floss or the
fabric or both.  He's really good at being sneaky about it, too.  Anyone
have any ideas on how I can stop this?  I don't plan to ...

Hypoallergenic kitten food (no corn/chix)28 Apr 2004 03:47 GMT6
I'm looking for a kitten food with no chicken or corn in it.  I'm
actually looking for my ferret.  The only non-chicken based ferret
food I've been able to find is made in the UK and I can't find a
retailer in the US.  If anyone knows a good duck & rice or lamb & rice
Diet cat food question28 Apr 2004 00:35 GMT3
My cats are dangerously over weight, big floppy belly.  I like to let
them free feed.  I changed to Iams hairball weight control.  I'm
wondering if the "weight control" aspect of it is unpalatability.
They just aren't eating as much.  It is also about a million degrees
Help!  Mollie ate a piece of thread!27 Apr 2004 20:02 GMT5
I have mentioned on here that our kitten, Mollie is a bit of a vacuum.
Well, last night I noticed a piece of thread on the carpet, like something
from clothes (it was quite long)  I remember thinking that I should pick it
up, but, before I could, Mollie ate it!
Sapphire's sister has problems27 Apr 2004 19:59 GMT6
Now that Sapphire is recovering from her extractions her sister Pepper, 13,
was throwing up blood yesterday.  She has gone to the vet and had x-rays and
a blood test.  The blood work is normal.  Something shows on the x-ray which
vet was able to feel  prior to the x-ray.  She had a ...
Cat lost BOTH teeth27 Apr 2004 16:08 GMT14
My cat lost one of his upper "fang" teeth several years ago, and then
I found the other one on the floor this morning.  Does this mean he
won't be able to eat regular (aka "hard") cat food anymore?  I took
his food away this morning b/c I wanted to give his gum time to heal
One cat picking on another UPDATE27 Apr 2004 11:01 GMT2
Bartleby and NewCat are sleeping peacefully together on the bed upstairs.
NewCat was downstairs most of yesterday, and Bartleby walked by her several
times without giving chase.  I may still get Feliway diffusers, though.
I think they do these things to drive their humans crazy!

The Kitty Puke Issue26 Apr 2004 23:00 GMT3
My cats are both short hairs who get frequent vet visits, brushing every
day, and Laxatone every week.
I feed them Purina One Salmon and Tuna dry, and Fancy Feast Chopped Grill
Feast because they LOVE these foods and often turn their noses up at
18 year old kitty going for his first big grooming tomorrow26 Apr 2004 20:15 GMT7
My almost 18 year old Tycho is a long haired tabby.  He just doesn't
groom himself well anymore, and he is full of mats (he won't let us
brush him on the lower part of his back or belly).  I'm bringing him
to the vet for a "shave" tomorrow.  Because I work, I'll be dropping
Cat Urinating Around Apartment26 Apr 2004 20:14 GMT10
I know this subject has been covered in many threads. Therefore, I
wont discuss here why this one year old is doing this or how to change
her habit.
What I do need to ask about involves cleanup. I live in a small one
