Wild stray with URI needs help12 Mar 2004 12:48 GMT5
I have a sick cat that came here as stray a few months ago. I think he
has an URI but there is no way in heck I can get him to a vet. He is
extremely skittish and wild. He will only let me near him; he runs
away from other people or will try to bite them. If I put him in a cat
Broken Leg12 Mar 2004 12:43 GMT3
One of my strays is at the vet awaiting surgery for a broken leg.  The
vet said splinting wouldn't work for a feral cat.  He's going to cut
open the leg, and then pin the bones together.
Anyone have any experience with broken limbs on cats to share with me?

I am considering using Frebreze as a room deodorizer.  Is this harmful
to cats?

chocolate poisoning q12 Mar 2004 05:37 GMT9
My wife recently told me of a cat she once had who would share chocolate
pudding with her.  And survived.
Yes, weird.  But I bring this up because I feel there is a question here.
It is, besides, indirectly linked to how she learned (the hard way) about
Gay Kitty?12 Mar 2004 04:17 GMT18
Is there such a thing as homosexual cats? If there is, I think Smokey
may be gay. I know homosexuality is as normal among some species as it
is among humans. My daughter once spent several days observing gay
monkies at the zoo for a report in a Primatology class. The reason I

Male/Female dominance prob11 Mar 2004 09:32 GMT26
Hi group,
I hope someone here can help me with this. I have had two female cats,
adopted from the shelter together, for about four years. Recently a
male cat has adopted us. He is grown but still young, and we did have
Can anyone explain this reaction?11 Mar 2004 05:25 GMT10
My 8 month old kitten has really wanted to go outside.  I will not let him
go outside without supervision.  So I decided to get him a harness and a
leash.  I put the harness on him inside the house to let him get use to it.
At first he didn't like it, but after a while (hour or two) ...
Odor Control11 Mar 2004 04:44 GMT1
The fact my cat had a urinary tract problem causing her to pee in the
house, on the carpet of course, forced me to look into something to
get rid of the odors.
One thing I quickly learned is that all products are NOT created
Adopting a feral - Can I trouble you folks with a couple of questions?11 Mar 2004 01:13 GMT18
A quick background on the situation:
My wife and I have had cats around for several decades, but when we
lost our "special kitty" at a ripe old age of 20, three years ago, we both
vowed that we would never get another cat because the hurt was more
Any non-prescription drugs for cat who won't calm down at night10 Mar 2004 21:38 GMT2
One of our cats is too spastic at nights.  Yes, I know, cats are
nocturnal, and and I'm sure he'd love it if we let him out at night to
hunt, but that's not going to happen.  We've waited years for him to
calm down, but he's not any less active than when he was a kitten.
Need suggestions on a New food10 Mar 2004 17:27 GMT24
I have a 9yo neutered male cat that needs a food change. He's been on
Hill's Prescription Diet CD/S dry food (for struvite crystals/stones)
for about 7 years. He's always hungry but he doesn't like his food
anymore, he prefers eating the regular cat food. The vet said I could
Are Hartz Flea Drops Anygood???10 Mar 2004 14:43 GMT6
The warm weather will soon be coming and flea and tick season will be
upon us once again. I am the proud owner of 2 one year old cats ( 1
male, 1 female ). Last year, I adopted the 2 cats who are brother and
sister and who were left as strays in a cardboard box on a boating dock.
