Free Pet Microchipping15 Mar 2004 10:03 GMT1
I just heard on KFRC that there's going to be free microcipping tomorrow Sunday
March 14, at ACC (Animal Care and Control) in San Francisco .  I think it's
until 4 PM.  For those who don't know it, ACC is located kitty-corner from the
SF SPCA.  Here is their web page with the ...

Feline Leukemia - what does the end look like?14 Mar 2004 23:50 GMT17
I fear our kitty boy Spencer is on the downhill slide:
The anemia is making him cold so all he wants to do is sleep on top of
the monitor.
He doesn't want to eat and is loosing weight.
male kitten adoption question.14 Mar 2004 22:28 GMT14
One of my friend would like to eventually adopt one of my kittens when they
are ready to go to new homes (8-12 weeks, right?). She already has a male
cat (neutered) that is almost 2 years old, and 2 females (spayed). If she
adopts one of my male kittens, (that she will have neutered ...
cost of neutering14 Mar 2004 19:05 GMT15
The dh called the vet to schedule Boots' snipping. He has to go for blood
work (not an option) tomorrow for $60. Then he gets neutered next Monday.
They quoted a cost of between $110 and $170 for the neutering. I never
remember a neutering having a price range before. It used to be ...
"how do I get away?"14 Mar 2004 00:37 GMT18
I've had a cat for some four years now.  Recently I introduced into our
home a 6 month old kitten.
As a given....he is full of energy and likes to play.  The older feline
is game a lot of the time but there are times she is clearly annoyed and
kitten question13 Mar 2004 19:23 GMT8
I have 4 days old kittens at home. One of them already has its eyes half
open. I know usually it takes 7 to 10 days (I think?)... So is it normal
that this kitten's eyes are already opening ?
Thanks

I'm giving my cat Newman Sub-q injections of lactose ringers 100 ml/
Mon-Weds-Friday to help with his renal failure.
can anyone tell me how long the IV sets  should lasts (how many times they
can be used?). I think the contraption is called 'IV Sets'. It's the part
Whale Rider Producers Cat Lovers?13 Mar 2004 05:25 GMT4
I finally had the opportunity to see Whale Rider, the New Zealand
feature whose 11-year-old star was nominated for an Oscar.  I noticed
at least three scenes in which there was a cat.  Cats don't just
"happen" to show up on a set.  If they are in a shot, it's on purpose.

A sickening number of similar Hodge photos, taken by a friend who sneaks
Hodge treats.

Do cats have a high pain tolerance13 Mar 2004 01:05 GMT11
I have two 7 month old cats who are health and very active.
Sometimes when they chase themselves around the house, they sometimes
bump themselves on a chair or table leg with a resounding "thunk".
Yet, they don't even seem to break stride.   If I were to engage a
Cat Food12 Mar 2004 23:28 GMT5
Does anyone know of a site where the various commercial cat foods are
rated by how healthy the food is? I'd like to find out what's in some of
the non-grocery store brands that claim to be healthier without having
to spend the time locating each brand on the web and visiting ...
Wakeup call12 Mar 2004 17:46 GMT13
This morning I woke up around 1:30 a.m. or so to find that Hodge had
come up on the bed and was lying on my curled up arm, and what woke me
up was he was stretching out his front paw and feeling around in my open
mouth. I think I might have bitten down when I woke up, because he ...
Case of Misplaced Aggression??12 Mar 2004 17:29 GMT59
Jewel (sweetheart of a cat) had a hell of a scare five hours ago.
She had been happily playing with a new toy,  then a minute later the
other cat (Seamus) jumped off of something, onto an open paper bag.  I
wasn't watching but heard the whole thing - Jewel must have been on a
