more litterbox issues...28 Mar 2004 05:29 GMT4
I have seen a flurry of questions about getting cats to use the litterbox and
yep, I've got one, too.
We adopted Lex after a month of visiting him at the shelter. The reason we
didnt adopt him sooner is that he was brought back by an adopter after about 10
Vet not detecting pregnancy28 Mar 2004 01:19 GMT19
I'm feeling awful, and I suppose I'm wondering how much I should have
expected myself or the vet to know.
We've been fostering cats since December. On Feb 5 this year, we took
a cat -- perhaps 2 years old -- not much was known about her, except
Stray taken in, have a few questions. (kinda long)27 Mar 2004 10:51 GMT12
My fianc? and I recently moved and has been living in our house for about a
five weeks.  On March 14th, a cat showed up on our back porch without a
collar, and meowing a lot.  We gave him some water and petted him, but
didn't invite him in because we assumed he had a home.  We ...

Now that I'm out of lurk mode...I've got a question.
Anyone else out there allergic to their kitties but choose to suffer like I do?

After effects of feline colectomy27 Mar 2004 09:48 GMT11
My name is Melinda and I am trying to get information about the
aftereffects of colectomy surgery.  My cat Chloe had this surgery done
two months ago.  She seems to be doing okay with the exception that
after she defecates, she seems to be quite distressed.  She stalks
Cats chewing houseplant leaves - please advise27 Mar 2004 04:58 GMT3
We recently combined out home with that of my father-in-law.  He lost his
wife to cancer in August and has a few health issues of his own that are
worrisome.  His two cats and our two cats are being very good about
things, although they're still a bit territorial and the random ...
Chartreux information needed.27 Mar 2004 03:55 GMT95
I am planning to get a Chartreux cat. A rare breed. Does anyone have
opinions or stories about owning a Chartreux? Are they as wonderful a cat as
they seem, or are there downsides I am not seeing? All info and stories
would be appreciated.
Dilemma with an Old Friend27 Mar 2004 00:30 GMT10
Hi! I have a problem I could use some input with.
I have an eighteen year-old cat that has been a good companion for a
big chunk of my life. She's finally beginning to show her age, and is
a bit stiff, but is otherwise healthy. She has never been a people
Peewee update - knocking on wood26 Mar 2004 19:14 GMT7
Thanks to those who have followed my boy's trials and tribulations
over the past months - I have been meaning to post - he's doing
wonderfully!  Back to original weight, eating like a pig, no hairball
issues currently.  He's still got something weird going on with his

Frequent, Watery Vomiting26 Mar 2004 02:26 GMT54
My cat for a few days now has been vomiting a few times a day, and of
course manages to always get it onto furniture, rugs, etc, even though
most of the house is wood floors....argh!
On a more serious note, though, the vomit is not "regular"
FVR-CP Vaccination: Only Annual?26 Mar 2004 02:14 GMT6
My little cat is seeing the vet for his FVR-CP (distemper etc.) shot this week.
I asked the vet assistant if there was a "three-year" version of it, as I now
get him the three-year rabies shot. She said, no, not to her knowledge.
I have no idea whether an FVR-CP vaccination lasting ...
Feline Pine cat litter - how best to transition?25 Mar 2004 17:03 GMT9
Hey all,
I'm wanting to switch cat litters to that Feline Pine because of Rowan's
being so sensitive to the dust from conventional litter these days.
The thing is, they all despise the texture of the FP. I did what the bag
Shame, shame AOL...25 Mar 2004 16:02 GMT2
Ok, so we all know AOL sucks, but in their trailer for the new
Garfield movie, they have a link that says "search for cute kittens to
adopt".  Nothing like promoting spur-of-the moment impulse
adoptions...I only hope it links to reputable sources - I didn't look.
Back to the vet - probably25 Mar 2004 13:23 GMT3
Last night I noticed a pink spot at one of the incision sites on Boots.
There was no bleeding or oozing just pink tissue showing. This morning the
tissue protruding from the scrotum. I thought the incision would be healed
by this time (a week after surgery). Boots doesn't seem to ...
