Greetings from a newbie! I have 2 indoors-only cats (1 boy, 1 girl, brother & sister, standard moggies), approx 18 months old. They're content little things, but the boy is VERY nervy - everything makes him jump, and at the sight of other people

Hello to everyone. I am desperately looking for some help and I don't know where else to turn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My cat is 8 years old now and we have kept pretty much the same regime since the day he came home 8 years ago. I have fed him at the same

| claw clipping frequency | 03 Mar 2004 07:43 GMT | 11 |
Skipjack is a blue tabby with the cutest white paws anyone has ever seen (trust me!). He's 2. When I first adopted him at ~5 months old, I clipped his claws regularly. I stopped, because his claws haven't been a problem - he only scratches "approved" surfaces and is an ...

I recently brought a kitten about 3 weeks ago from a shelter that was dumped in a box outside one of their opshops. He is now 19 weeks old and heaps of fun. I have had cats before and I know what they can be like but it's been awhile since I've had a kitten.

| sorta smelly cat... what can it possibly mean. | 03 Mar 2004 05:23 GMT | 21 |
I have a friend who is worried that her "smelly cat" (although I dont think it is that smelly, the cat does not smell half as bad as most dogs) may have some sickness with the symptom being the smell. There is a slight smell in the fur of this nice stubbed tailed cat

| Purple bumps in ears? | 03 Mar 2004 03:06 GMT | 2 |
My male 10 year old housecat developed a purple bump (about the size of an engorged deer tick) inside one ear about 18 months ago. My vet told me it was benign, nothing to worry about. I am concerned because while it hasn't changed in shape or size, there appear to be dozens more ...

| Bubbas | 03 Mar 2004 02:56 GMT | 16 |
We took Bubbas to the emergency hospital last night and put him to sleep. He went downhill so fast, even Friday he was doing okay and then just deteriorated before our eyes. We couldn't let him suffer. We're going out to bury him at my parents' farm and plant a native dogwood

| house plants | 01 Mar 2004 18:59 GMT | 11 |
First I will mention that my father passed away 2 weeks ago and I brought home several baskets of house plants from the funeral home. My 5 year old cat has been vomiting almost daily ever since I brought these plants home. There are no hairballs in the vomit but I have found a few ...

Right now they have dog parks in the city where we live that are sponsored by the city, but I couldn't help but think that maybe we cat lovers should also have place to go with our feline friends that is sponsored by the city. What do you all think?

| Why did all the kittens in one litter die? | 01 Mar 2004 12:52 GMT | 8 |
I am baffled why all the kittens born yesterday didn't make it. Long story short, the cat was a stray I found outside about a month ago after someone tossed it from their car. I had no idea kitty was pregnant until she had the kittens yesterday. I suspected she may be pregnant as ...
