| Overgrooming - stress / separation anxiety? | 08 Mar 2004 17:01 GMT | 4 |
I've got a black female mixed-breed shorthair 6yo, indoor only, that I've had since she was just about six weeks old. For the last handful of months - starting about the time I moved, actually - she's been slowly but gradually overgrooming a few spots on her body.

Cat 1 year old has all her shots, in the past couple days has started sneezing and has mucus up her nose and she is sniffling. Have cleaned her nose with warm washcloth periodically and that seems to help her breathing.

| Cat with arthritis, no solutions | 07 Mar 2004 22:35 GMT | 37 |
Hi. My 14-year-old cat has arthritis in his lumbar spine and a meniscal knee tear or chip. The vet gave me some glucosamine, a large tablet size, to mash up in his food. However, he won't eat his food with it in there, doesn't like the taste. Remidyl (sp?) is not

| Hills Prescription Diet | 07 Mar 2004 21:48 GMT | 11 |
At one time our cat (Mozart) had a little problem with holding down ordinary food so the vet sold us Hills Prescription Diet Feline W/D and we've been buying it ever since (several years). Do you think it's necessary to keep buying this food? Is there any harm in continuing to

| Ever see this....? | 07 Mar 2004 16:54 GMT | 20 |
My female cat is about 6-7 years old. Initially, she wasn't the most affectionate cat on the block, but with time (and especially after I've been gone for a few days), she becomes most affectionate for a few days and then reverts to her normal independent self: She'll come for

| Cat-Boy and Hairballs | 07 Mar 2004 06:34 GMT | 10 |
I've had Cat-Boy now for about three months. He's settled into his new home and is very normal and happy. He has a lot of Maine Coon in him, so his fur is not only long, but very dense. At a casual glance he looks fat, but not after you pick him up and realize that there is way

| Some Questionss | 07 Mar 2004 00:09 GMT | 15 |
OK, re: the new rescue, Biskit. She has an appointment to be spayed on Wed. I had put it off because she is in heat, and still quite thin, but am going to go ahead and do it because her behavior is just so pitiful and she's hell-bent to get outdoors. Here are the questions:

The latest addition to my family of wife, 3 cats and a puppy is a male kitten about 14wks old. He's a mixed breed but looks very much like the Aurkish Angora- longhaired, white, blue-eyed, hearing. I don't know much about his history except that he was abused by his previous owners. ...
