Cat in heat question31 Mar 2004 21:51 GMT5
My foster cat Beetle came to us with 3 kittens at 10 days old.  The kittens
are now 8 weeks old, and Beetle went back to the shelter so her milk can dry
up before she is spayed.  She's been at the shelter for a few days now, and
yesterday and today I observed her displaying "in ...
IAMs 7+ year old cat food?31 Mar 2004 02:54 GMT4
I looked around on the package of IAMs "7+ year old" cat food and did not
see a description. Well, now that I think of it, they probably have a web
site, hopefully that would be on it.
But just in case they do not.
Making old cat & young cat get along?30 Mar 2004 22:17 GMT1
I have a fat, oldish, spayed female cat, whose chief hobby is sitting
on the window ledge and hissing and growling at any of the
neighborhood strays that wander by.
The neighbors have an adorable half-grown gray and white Siamese.
Help Introducing New Cats30 Mar 2004 18:18 GMT4
I have a 5 year old cat and a 12 year old small dog.  The cat is very
compatible with dogs and my dog is fairly cat tolerant, meaning she
mostly tries to pretend we don't have a cat.
My sister is no longer able to take care of her two cats, one 3 and the
Help! Cat not eating!30 Mar 2004 07:33 GMT7
My 18 year old cat has cancer. Several months ago he went through an operation
to remove a cancerous growth on his abdomen. While we were hopeful that we had
"gotten it all," 2 weeks ago we noticed another growth in the same area and so
booked him for another operation.
Help - Husband With Allergies?30 Mar 2004 00:36 GMT10
My husband swears he's allergic to my two babies.  I have my doubts,
though, because he also sneezes and has a stuffy nose hours or days
after he's been around them.  For example, when we were away in
Europe, he was still sneezing two weeks after not being around any
Catflap confrontations29 Mar 2004 22:09 GMT6
I live in a small block of flats and up until about 6 months ago, my
cat was the only cat here. I'm on the ground floor and have a cat flap
in a window but she's not much of an outdoor cat and is happy to sit
with her head out sniffing the evening air and occasionally come into
To stop cat from puncturing air bed?29 Mar 2004 18:03 GMT13
Declawing is out of the question here in my house.
I know about clipping their claws. That is no problem.
I was thinking about covering the air bed with one or even two mattress
covers.
IAMS experimentation video29 Mar 2004 15:45 GMT24
Those of you who still think IAMS is okey-dokey, check it out.

This is what happens to dogs (and one kitten) in the name of "research".
The rest of you, don't. It's not pretty.

Removing Urine Smell from out Deck?29 Mar 2004 09:01 GMT2
Any tips on removing the urine smell from a deck?  We have some stray cats in the area and we think
they have been peeing on (or at least under) our deck this winter.  Now that the snow has melted, it
smells really bad.  What can I spray on or scrub in or whatever to try to make ...
Seeking Hospice/Foster Care For Aging Cat28 Mar 2004 21:01 GMT22
HELP!  I have called every source (spca/animal welfare groups/pet
shops) imaginable trying to find a home for my 18 year old cat Willi.
We are moving into a house that just is not set up for his regular
incontenance near the scratch box and hair balls.  The ole boy is
chicken soup for the cat lovers soul28 Mar 2004 17:01 GMT7
I was just wondering if any of you have tried chicken soup for the soul cat
food.  I just purchased this the other day, to try (currently using Royal
Cannine).  I went on their web site at
www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com and I was very impressed with the
Plays with food28 Mar 2004 16:03 GMT7
If I leave my kitten's food bowl down (she's 4 months old) she'll paw
at it to play, but then my whole kitchen floor will end up covered in
her food!  I can't seem to get her to stop without putting her food
bowl on the counter.  Is there another way I can get her to stop
