We have a 4 year old Tonkinese female cat which is always sick, at least once every 2 days. She is an indoor cat which is a problem, especially as we have new carpets through the whole house. Nobody has been able to give us any idea how to resolve the problem, not even a

I have a 2 year old cat named Sushi. He is an indoors cat. He is a very possessive cat and hates it when I ignore him, like for instance when I talk to my roommate or watch TV and don't pay attention to him. He will then jump into my arms and do everything he can to draw my ...

| a "friend" takes up residence on patio | 22 Feb 2004 15:32 GMT | 8 |
My cat has a friend...a younger cat who may or may not have a home in this big apt complex. It now sleeps all the time on our patio...but I don't feed it so it must be eating somewhere. My cat doesn't seem to be disturbed by all this. Any recommendations. I do not need another ...

| Love dem tipped ears | 22 Feb 2004 05:11 GMT | 2 |
I'm so excited!!!!!!! One less thing in the world to worry about...and I'm a worrier. We seem to have a large cat population in our neighborhood. It's the sort of area, apparently, where the people who have cats let them out a lot or keep them out (mine stay inside all the time). ...

| FeLV Testing | 22 Feb 2004 01:13 GMT | 1 |
Anyone know how soon after exposure an FeLV test can accurately detect the virus or antigen in the bloodstream? A tame, 12 week old kitten was dumped in a feral colony where two adult cats (now deceased) were found to be FeLV positive. Two other adult

| Third Eyelid | 21 Feb 2004 18:20 GMT | 23 |
I have a question for you all. Re: The third eyelid. I had a stray jump up on the window two weeks ago. She was malnourished and wormy, but negative for FeLV/FIV, had no fever and vet says the bloodwork didn''t indicate any illness. Her eyes were otherwise clear. I almost argued

I googled my name and found your post from last month. I'm so sorry I didn't reply, but I never got it (my news server sucks, which is why I google my name every so often in case I miss something). Anyhoo, Kitty's ears were just fine! My vet said she may be rubbing up

| Sub-Qs for Cory | 21 Feb 2004 07:22 GMT | 22 |
Well, after almost 2 years of being diagnosed with CRF and hyper-t, my soon-to-be 18 year old Cory has to get sub-q fluids administered by me. I know you've all said it's no big deal after the first couple of times so I hope you are right. Tomorrow will be my first attempt.

| speck in eye | 21 Feb 2004 06:25 GMT | 10 |
Hi. My 2-year old, Shiloh, has a little brownish speck in the corner of her eyeball. Anyone know anything about that? Her vision doesn't seem to be affected, and she's as frisky as ever. Could it be a burst vessel or something else that's serious?

| Norwegian Forest Cats | 21 Feb 2004 02:40 GMT | 7 |
Given the current thread on genetic problems with Maine Coons, is there anything to watch out for with NFC? I'm hoping to get a kitten next year to add to our current kitty household, and I'd appreciate any info on NFCs you have.
