Common practice is to give solid food to a kitten at 4 weeks
age, but is there any known problems if solid feeding starts
earlier?  I have heard rumours that early solid feeding might
cause allergy, but is there any studies about it?

Kittens update:
  We had to take the brood to the vet due to one having a gooey eye. We found
out the one is showing signs of URI and so the vet put them all on Amoxi drops.
We have moved them and blocked off the area where she was keeping them and also

Carey has been off the Valium for almost 2 weeks now and there's definite
imrpovement in the vocalizations.  She continues on daily Prednisone.  She sees
the neurologist on the 9th (our last appt had to be cancelled due to ice and
then the vet is away for this week) so we'll see ...

could anyone tell me how i can make my cats bum smell any better than it does now? she doesn't smell of poo,but of a sweaty smell.i clean the litter tray every time she goes in it. any help would be great.....ann

After several years without a cat, I adopted a lovely black female on
friday. She's about two/three years old. When her owners brought her she
was quite assertive, checking out the new flat and wandering around. Even
let me feed and stroke her etc.

Hello everyone, just wanted to update all thoose who were following
the thread about my kitty Abby AKA The Lazarus cat LOL.
I am thrilled to report that my new vet phoned today, she received all
blood work back on Abby, and everything is NORMAL!!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!
