Toy with gum stimulator07 Feb 2004 01:54 GMT6
I wonder if a toy like this would help biters?  Shamrock is a biter and
since he also has had a cleaning already for gingivitis, I wonder if bad
gums may go hand in hand with being a biter?  The cat in the image sure
looks like it gets something out of biting the "gum stimulator" ...
Can you give a cat a supplement so that their urine doesn't smell so strong?06 Feb 2004 23:18 GMT2
Does anyone know if there is a supplement to give male cats that will
make their urine not smell so strong.  I just had my male neutered bc
I thought it would keep him from spraying but now when he uses the
litter box, the smell is overpowering.  I've tried all the special
My cat Toy Choice06 Feb 2004 21:40 GMT11
Thanks to all for your advice on which cat toy to get Mickey & Daisy on their
first birthday. I got them a laser pointer and they love it; although I'm
really can't be sure.  It does seem a bit like torture and perhaps a bit mean.
After all, I am having them run all over after a ...
Older cat not using litter box all the time06 Feb 2004 17:07 GMT4
I'm having trouble with my 18 year old female cat only using the
litter box about 99% of the time.  That last 1% is getting very
unpleasant!
This has been developing for several years, so I don't think it's a
Can Someone Help Me With Sunscreen For Cats??.06 Feb 2004 16:45 GMT28
Does anybody know of any good sunscreens or zincs that can be used on
animals (a cat)?  As I have a 2 year old pure white cat and I have never let
him outside as I am worried that he will get cancer.

Revolution parasite medication06 Feb 2004 16:18 GMT12
I was at the vet's yesterday to pick up some Advantage flea medication and
saw a brochure for something new (to me ) called Revolution.  It says it
protects from heartworm, fleas, ear mites, hookworms and roundworms.  It's
applied the same way as Advantage (liquid on the back of the ...
Which are smarter ?06 Feb 2004 15:28 GMT44
Well, here we go again ;-) We know they're not as obedient, but are cats as
smart or smarter than dogs? Surely, you folks who own both must have some
insights about this.
And which of the cat breeds are the smartest? Shouldn't the nonbreeds
Keep x-rays06 Feb 2004 06:06 GMT19
I brought Bear's x-rays home a few days ago.  The vets wife called
yesterday and demanded I bring them right back. She said someone would
come by there and check their x-rays and want to know where they were.
Does this make sense? I didn't intend to keep them but now I'm curious.
yum...06 Feb 2004 06:05 GMT5
Hi again!
First: everythings alright with Tigger, nothing to worry.
I visited him last night and he is such a funny little bugger!
But while I was there something happened I just cannot make out:
cat wants privacy in the bathroom06 Feb 2004 04:40 GMT7
We have a cat who closes herself in the bathroom when she wants to be
alone!  For background, we have 2 shelves in the bathroom that the
cats like to lie on - we just keep a towel on them for comfort but
don't try to store anything on them.  This is not the bathroom that
Cat suddenly scratching furniture06 Feb 2004 03:55 GMT17
We have a cat, 4 years old, who has JUST begun to scratch at the furniture.
Sometimes when we're watching TV in the family room, he actually looks up at
me and then starts to us the end of the couch as his personal scratching
post! How infuriating. In his favor, all I have to do is ...

Hi I've noticed lately that my cat is not as active as he has been, and that
his gums and nose are very pale. Anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks
