Bad men get 3 years - warning - graphic story17 Jan 2004 06:42 GMT12
About time people have to serve jail time for cruelty.

fleas in warm climate17 Jan 2004 05:46 GMT3
can't see em...can't kill em...they survive everything here...including burning
hot soapy wash...cold wash...bleach...all kinds of detergent....they go thru
the heat of the dryer and STILL are in the sheets and clothes.
Is there nothing I can use in the laundry to kill these things? ...

Water bowl splashing17 Jan 2004 01:31 GMT7
One of our cats loves to splash water in the area around his water
bowl before drinking. He does this with his paw - looks like he is
trying to clear debris (water is clear) or is trying to establish
where the surface is.
Anyone else's cat do this?16 Jan 2004 23:10 GMT15
My cats like to dig around in my purse and swipe my hair brush. As soon as they
have it out, they then proceed to roll their hairy bodies and faces all over
it.
It's not like we don't brush them. I am having to clean my hairbrush out all
volunteering16 Jan 2004 21:55 GMT5
I just started volunteering at an animal shelter. Many of the cats live in a
large room with lots of cat trees and scratching posts. So far I've just sat
in there and it's amazing how quickly some of them just climbed onto my lap
or just sat near me. They really seemed to appreciate ...
Strange first pressie from Zee B16 Jan 2004 20:56 GMT2
Now that Zee B uses his cat flap on his own (mostly - see below), he loves
going out for ages.  He bought back his first present for me & guess what it
was ?  A rather muddy surgical glove, of all things !  We took it off him
straight away & thought nothing more of it, but low & ...

Sharing concerns - melinary dermatitis16 Jan 2004 16:09 GMT1
My 13-year-old long-hair, Princess, has a horrible skin problem on
her back, just above her tail. I noticed it the other day and was
aghast. The fur over most of that area is very thin, and under it
the skin is covered in red bumps. In one spot the skin is a

Took my cats to the vet for their annual checkup. Jessie who's at least 8
years old (we don't know how old she was when we got her from the shelter)
weighs 9 pounds and the vet was very pleased with that. Oscar and Felix who
are 2 year old brothers (gotten as kittens from a shelter) ...
Cat always meow's16 Jan 2004 07:56 GMT12
Is there a surgery to stop a cat meowing?  My wife wants to get rid of
one of our cats, and I'm looking for an alternative.
Any help would be appreciated.
Feline incontenance16 Jan 2004 05:37 GMT3
I have an eight year old female Burmese. She is an indoor cat (well,
99%), an "only" cat and well and truly litter trained. This morning I
woke to find a wet spot where she was lying. I think she had no idea
until she woke up when I stripped the covers back. She started cleaning
"pawing" after eating16 Jan 2004 04:29 GMT7
Another question...
Each time Delilah (7 m old) finishes eating, she paws her placemat like she
is covering litter. Having seen this, the little one - Stella, has started
doing the same.

I've had it with WBCL.  I've been using it for 2 and a half years.  I liked
the fact that it was flushable, didn't cling to the paws like other
clumpables, didn't have a perfume odor, and it wasn't clay based.  But
there's always been a tracking problem with WBCL.  Especially the ...
