What Kitty Litter Works Best?23 Jan 2004 01:13 GMT11
Hi I'm new here, although I've been "lurking" and reading the posts for a
few days.  I have two male cats (brothers) Scooby and Sylvester who will
make a year on May 1st.  I have tried all types of different litter, the
scoopable, non-scoop, scented, unscented.  I guess I'm just ...
PetGuard food for Espy and Nipsy?22 Jan 2004 23:53 GMT5
I passed a new pet store yesterday so I stopped in to pick up some
whatevers. They had a brand of food I hadn't noticed before called
PetGuard. The label seemed reasonable and I bought a few varieties. No
Turkey. The boys just don't like turkey and I won't waste money on it.
Asthma question22 Jan 2004 18:43 GMT9
My 9 year old guy was diagnosed with feline asthma about 2
years ago. Not terrifically troubled by it (so far). Perhaps 1 or 2
episodes, lasting under a minute, in a 24 hour period. Maybe a couple
more I'm not around to witness.

My 12-year-old cat was just diagnosed as diabetic.
He was admitted this morning for stabilization, and determining
Cat Urinating on Carpet22 Jan 2004 16:57 GMT9
In the past six months my 14 year old cat has been urinating on the
carpet in the corner of my bedroom despite having fresh litter in her
box every 4-6 days.  I pulled the carpet back and changed the padding
and cleaned the carpet and she still goes back to the same spot and
Limp tail, no other symptoms22 Jan 2004 09:33 GMT6
Our kitty has had a limp tail (and seemingly no feeling in it) for
about five days but no other symptoms*.  She does not seem to be in
any pain from this at all.  We have taken her to the vet twice - he
cannot feel anything wrong with her tail, no lumps or anything (we
Royal Canin food?21 Jan 2004 03:22 GMT6
Hey guys,
Still trying to find a REALLY good food that I can get at the pet store
that the kids will actually eat.
What do you guys think of Royal Canin?
Introducing  a new cat, after the death of sibling???21 Jan 2004 01:31 GMT7
All,
I'm trying to find resources and recommendations on when (or if?) is a good
time to introduce a new cat into the household?
Unfortunately I have lost two of my three cat's in the last 7 month to
Can you use baby wipes to clean up a cat?20 Jan 2004 20:38 GMT8
I am the OP from the cat in the small smoking apartment with mom
thread.  Someone mentioned baby wipes, I want to know if these are
safe for a cat's coat...I am contimplating giving the cat a bath, but
from all I have heard of it, it is not a fun experience for anyone,
Static20 Jan 2004 14:08 GMT5
Yesterday and today the sudden dip in temperatures and such has made our
house *VERY* dry, despite vaporizers, etc.  Our poor cat is very static
filled and crackles as we pet her.  I don't think it's a "big deal", but
I'm curious, is there somethine one does to help their pets ...
Cat Houses20 Jan 2004 14:04 GMT6
>I wish I were good at building things.
>I'd love to build a really complex cat tree slash playhouse thing (floor
>to ceiling) for the kids. Buying the kind I'm thinking of is just too
>cost prohibitive. Last one I saw that I really liked was like $500.
Hairless back legs - biting20 Jan 2004 05:18 GMT2
We have a male cat that's about 17 years who doesn't seem to have any
fur on his back legs, and we think he might be sort of biting it away.
We don't know if he still does it (I don't think so - it's certainly not
an obvious compulsion).  Is this a plausible reason for why back ...
Cats and TV20 Jan 2004 04:16 GMT11
A post in the 'Cat in cage' thread made me wonder: how many of your
cats like TV?  I saw an segment on TV a while back that said that cats
who like TV are actually more "sluggish" (in some sense) than cats who
ignore it.  This was because most cats visual systems dectect are ...
Hemangiosarcoma in cat20 Jan 2004 03:56 GMT4
Hi there, My cat was recently diagnosed with a retroperitneal
hemangiosarcoma.  He had surgery to remove two masses.  I can't find
much out there about this in cats (more common in dogs) and was
wondering if anyone had any knowledge about this.  I know its bad.
OT  Attn Laura R.20 Jan 2004 03:50 GMT3
I sent off a message of thanks to Laura re her tip concerning
my asthmatic cat. The message bounced back, but I am dead cert that I
had her address, letter perfect.
I strongly suspect that your Attorney General had something to
