As far as food26 Jan 2004 22:51 GMT6
Wanted to ask, as far as Abbys kidney and liver disfunction what
should I be feeding her? She was eating Nutro max salmon, but does'nt
seem interested in it. I gave her a half of a can of fancy feast beef
liver and chicken and she loved it, not sure how good this is for her.
Bloody diarrhea, antidepressants26 Jan 2004 22:46 GMT3
Thanks everyone for the helpful tips in all of the posts.  I hope you can offer some to me.  My cat is about 13 years old, a female indoor cat.  Until about 5 years ago she traveled by plane about once per year-- we used sedation and she was small enough to carry on in a carrier. ...
Protecting leather furniture26 Jan 2004 22:44 GMT11
I'm about to buy a leather sofa. Any advice about training/preventing cats
from damaging it?
TIA

spending a lot of time in the litter box26 Jan 2004 20:12 GMT14
One of my indoors only, 6 yr old neutered males has taken to spending
a lot of time in the litter box.
He seems to go about twice an hour, and spends up to 15 minutes at a
time in there.

I had to share my amazement....26 Jan 2004 18:43 GMT26
Some of you may remember me and my sweeties, Gustav and Aurora.  I usually
lurk, (and have been a lurker for almost 4 years here) but wanted to post after
what I witnessed tonight!
I was walking down the hallway and past my bathroom when I caught a glimpse of
Brodie won't eat, please help26 Jan 2004 15:46 GMT3
Hi, my cat Brodie was a stray 12 years ago and is now estimated to be
16.  The last couple of years she has gotten so sick a couple of times
that I thought she wouldn't make it but she's a survivor and is right
at this moment sitting on my desk.
watering containers26 Jan 2004 15:26 GMT7
I bought a watering thing which allows for a jug of about a half gallon or
so of water.  It drips into a tray as the cats drink from it.  My question
is, from a health/bacteria or whatever standpoint, how long should I leave
the jug before replacing the water if the cats can't drink ...
Cat Scratching & Boundry26 Jan 2004 13:32 GMT2
My cat was using (fortunately only one chair to scratch) I recently bought
Boundry  spray for my furniture.  It seems to be working.  I also bought him a
very tall scratching post so he can reach up to scratch.  Apprantly cats like
to reach up and that's why I think he liked this ...
Mixing Clavamix???26 Jan 2004 13:28 GMT6
Help,
My cats vet has proscribed Clavamix (15 mL) liquid... the problem is, the
first batch was mixed at the vet's office and when I picked it up it only
filed about 45% of the plastic bottle.
Big Boy Update26 Jan 2004 13:20 GMT17
Well, I am overwhelmed by the generosity of all of you!  Right now, I think
I am not going the Michigan route for a lot of reasons.  First, I don't
think he could handle the trip.  I'm in a real dilemna here...    He really
is timid little soul who is responding very well to the ...
How to check the heart rate using a stethoscope?26 Jan 2004 12:59 GMT7
Because my cat gets too stressed at the vets I'm buying a stethoscope
today to do some home monitoring.
Where is the best place to listen for the heart beat or will this be
rather apparent when I get the stethoscope?
Cat Drooling26 Jan 2004 06:00 GMT2
I've seen this discussed in the past and have observed in my guy that when
he's very happy, he sometimes drools. I've also noticed that when he sleeps
he often drools. He's a happy, active, almost two year old, inside only,
Siamese mix. He has good eating habits (thanks to my ...
When to change to 2 meals per day?26 Jan 2004 05:11 GMT2
I have been feeding my 2 - 5 1/2 month old kittens 3 times per day for
the past 3 months or so.   I have read here and elsewhere that adult
cats should be fed 2 times per day.   At what age should this change
be made?
