Change in cat #1's behavior after cat #2's visit to vet07 Jan 2004 14:19 GMT5
We have two very healthy, very well-adjusted cats (one male, one
female) who are both ten years old, and who have been raised together
from the age of eight weeks.  The only time these cats ever see the
vet is for their yearly checkup; they've just never had any other
cat sick -- possibly tapeworms or cancer07 Jan 2004 12:39 GMT7
We've got a little black kitten that moved in our house when her real
owners moved away and left her.  She looked pregnant at the time
(early October).  Now it's early December and it's definitely not a
pregnancy.  I was hoping it might be tapeworms but I gave her a home

This article was in the Ottawa Citizen on Sunday.  Hopefully this problem
will be resolved soon.

The meat industry07 Jan 2004 01:59 GMT86
This mad cow scare comes just about a couple weeks after the greedy meat
industry jacked  its prices sky high and I heard a lot of complaints while
shopping in the supermarket.
Why would they have bought cows from Canada where they had an outbreak of
Pets eliminating on rug07 Jan 2004 01:24 GMT11
I am trying to find out if a cat would try and cover up another cats
eliminations.
I have 3 cats and I noticed right before xmas one of them was peeing on
the carpet in the living room.  Had a tough time trying to figure it
Febreeze Spring Renewal: Rave!07 Jan 2004 00:41 GMT4
I posted earlier about using a product called "capture" to remove
urine from rugs.  It works very well, but in a few cases in my office,
we had residual odors that would pop up every once in a while.  I
bought the Febreeze in Spring Renewal, and used it all over my carpet,
Thank You07 Jan 2004 00:33 GMT2
Just a quick word of thanks to all in the group that gave advice on the spay
surgery. Delilah came through with flying colours and is now home resting.
Stella seemed to know that her older sister was not herself and has been
very gentle with her.
Paintball vs. the evil vaccuum cleaner06 Jan 2004 23:30 GMT1
I did the mandatory once-a-week cleaning, and was in the process of vaccuuming
the floors when Paintball suddenly sprang out of nowhere and gave the vaccuum a
few good solid WHAPS, attempted to beat it up, and finally ran away from the
noise it was making.

Kitten With FIP06 Jan 2004 22:16 GMT4
Hi everyone.  I'm new to this group, and any advice that anyone can
give me on this disease would be greatly appreciated.  I've been sick
with worry every since I found out on Friday that my kitty might have
FIP.  Anyway, here's my story (sorry, it's sort of long): I have a

Cat finally found (airline)06 Jan 2004 13:53 GMT3
Here's a newspaper article with a happy ending (because the cat was found)
but with a lot of trauma (because it details the story of a cat that escaped
from its carrier as it was being placed on a plane for transport).  The cat
was finally found, identified through an implanted ...
Update on Rhubarb06 Jan 2004 12:55 GMT3
The feral that I took in and posted about last month is doing beautifully.
His wounds have healed nicely and he is actually starting to grow some hair
around them. They will never be completely covered but who cares?
There is now a small problem. Some of you may remember that he ...
Litter Dust / Crystals / Love Bites06 Jan 2004 12:54 GMT13
It seems as if every time I change my kitten Charlie's litter, I
experience some major allergy symptoms centered solely in my eyes over
the next few days.  I'm using Fresh Step Clay.  Do you think it's an
allergy to their particular brand, or to clay litter in general?  I
