Mint fiend16 Jan 2004 00:57 GMT2
I'm posting this because its kinda weird, wondering if anyone else's
cat does it. My cat is obsessed with mint. I love mint, so alot of the
stuff I use is mint-flavored. Isn't catnip in the mint family? I guess
that could be why, though he doesn't give a crap about catnip when its
Cat With Dis-located Hip15 Jan 2004 23:36 GMT5
My 7 year old female cat began limping one day last week. Also growls the whole
time she tries to walk. I took her to the vet and he said something was wrong
with the ligament and that her hip had been dis-located but it felt that like
it was now back in  place.
My cat has bulimia15 Jan 2004 21:49 GMT11
Most cats, if you free feed them, nibble several times a day, with
maybe two larger meals, know what I mean?
Well my (8 months old, single, indoors only)cat wont touch his (premium
brand)dry food ALL day and most of the night, then all of a sudden he
Morning howling15 Jan 2004 16:30 GMT10
About 3 months ago I took in a 5 month old kitten. Previous owner
didn't mention anything about the fact that about 6am every morning he
starts howling to beat the band.  When he started out with me he
obviously had a healthy dose of seperation anxiety.  I mean like the
Now why would she do this?15 Jan 2004 15:26 GMT5
My cat Bizzy has never been consistent with the litter box, but I thought I'd
covered all the angles:
--new place, and both cats seemed at home and loving it from Day 1
--never leave clothes, towels, a trash bag, ANYTHING on the floor.
Claw Clipping15 Jan 2004 09:13 GMT36
I was just wondering what your opinion is on the best tool to clip a cat's
claws. Would you use a nail clipper specifically for cats or one for humans?
I've seen both used but since I will be starting to do this in the near
future (the vet showed us how today) I want to make sure ...
A Grooming Question15 Jan 2004 06:30 GMT2
I have never been in the habit of grooming my cats.  They are short haired, and
they groom each other.  However, I've read on so many boards how important it
is to groom your cats often.  So, I've been trying to be more attentive.  I
have one question which I'm sure someone here can ...

Post Sterilisation Hernia14 Jan 2004 21:12 GMT3
Bodecia age 1yr was neutered yesterday.  The vet had to go through the
front, as poor kitty was deemed to chubby for usual access from the side.
She was sent home with a hernia showing. Is this normal?!! What are your
views please.
Mountain lion, doing what comes naturally, mauls interlopers in California14 Jan 2004 20:54 GMT2
The half eaten male and the now disfigured female were galavanting
around where they didn't really belong and found out they were not the
masters of the outdoors they professed themselves to be.
I am glad the cat got them - if indeed he did.  A mountain lion that
Lymphoma of the bowel (poop mentioned)14 Jan 2004 19:20 GMT3
Has anyone had a cat with this?  If so, did you see changes in your
cat's stool?  The reason I'm asking is that I suspect my cat Peewee
has this and has had some weird stool issues - small, hard and dark,
othertimes more normal looking but still hard and smallish.  Yes, he
Tomcat Yowling14 Jan 2004 18:06 GMT20
My boyfriend rescued a himylayan last year. The cat is an unneutered
male and is about 2 years old (we figure).
About 3 weeks ago, he started yowling. This has been progressively
getting worse and worse. Last night he must have woken me right up
CRF is killing me14 Jan 2004 18:04 GMT13
This is Buddie's story.
Buddie's mother was a feral cat that lived in the neighborhood pumping out
endless liters. My hope was to trap her one day and have her fixed by the
vet and release her again. Having already talked my bride into letting me
Sharing the Catfood14 Jan 2004 17:33 GMT7
Our three cats have a dish of Nutro and a dish of Chicken Soup dry food
as well as a bowl of water always availiable. They will eat one of the
other several times a day.
In the morning and in the evening they each get a dish of canned food.
older cat suddenly starts acting strangely, maybe lost a fight?14 Jan 2004 14:48 GMT6
a couple of months ago we added a foundly kitten to our household which
already had a ~2 year old neutered male.  the older cat did not take to
the new arrival exceedingly well, there were rough&tumbles and hissing
and the like, but up until a couple of days ago things seemed to be
