A little update on Taz19 Dec 2003 01:41 GMT2
He seems to be getting mean as the night goes on, he's now growling &
walking low to the ground. I've never been so scared. He's my pride &
joy, and can't imagine life without him. I can't sleep, and thinking
about him being in pain is making me ill. He is an indoor cat (someone

My 1 1/2 year old cat is very hyper and into everything all the time. He seems
very frustrated with life in general. I had hoped he would start to settle down
but hasn't. He is extremely destructive. Would rescue remedy or somehting like

Congestion - no resolution18 Dec 2003 20:22 GMT5
Has anyone ever had a situation where a cat has severe congestion and
breathing difficulty that doesn't respond to antibiotics?  I volunteer at a
sanctuary, and one of the cats has had this for about 2 months.  She
intitially had a mild viral infection, and then a secondary ...
Taz & I are back from the vet!18 Dec 2003 19:31 GMT1
Thank you, you were all right about the absess, thats what he thinks it
is, he's on antibitics, and i have to bring him back in 2 weeks to make
sure it's just an absess, he may lose his tooth, or front fang rather.
He mentioned the word cancer, but said in his professional opinion, ...
Exposure to heartworms and an evil cat18 Dec 2003 17:24 GMT8
How are heartworms transmitted?
I'm concerned about this as we have had to move in with my in-laws.  They
have two dogs that they don't take to the vet often and both have heartworms
and I'm not 100% sure they're given their medicine.  Here's the issue, can
Cat with sore jaw & mouth18 Dec 2003 15:03 GMT6
Hi, i have a question about my cat Taz, today i noticed his mouth was
open most of the day, i tried to check it but he screamed.  He's going
to the vet tomorrow morning. As it got later in the evening, i noticed
it started to swell and he's in pain, and his face just doesn't look
Cats refusing to eat after long distance move......18 Dec 2003 05:27 GMT9
As some of you remember I posted some time ago about moving cats from
Europe to the US. Well, the good news is that both cats made it OK.
However, they are somewhat traumatized --> both cats refuse to eat. My
female will eat a little bit but only when I sit down and handfeed
He's Diabetic!18 Dec 2003 03:23 GMT12
Whew! Just found out my long time buddy, 12 year old Rocky, is diabetic.
Looks like a rough road ahead.for both of us.

support group for us, or could someone point us to other groups on this
Grandcat Trouble18 Dec 2003 03:16 GMT21
OK, here's one for all of you.
I am babysitting the grandcat for two weeks. We've had no problems with
integration, probably because my old cats are pretty well accustomed to
occasional interlopers by now.

Peeper's Ultrasound Results17 Dec 2003 18:03 GMT6
Well I finally got Peepers in for his Ultrasound, delayed somewhat by a
heart attack of my own.
The results indicate some very slight thickening of the walls and Septa(?
hope I have that right) and some turbulence in the right ventricle if I
Kami and the Car Ride17 Dec 2003 16:52 GMT1
Well, Kami and I have arrive at our destination safe and sound, and
mostly sane.  It wasn't as bad as I expected.
To begin, I purchased a harness and leash for her.  She wanted
nothing to do with it and scared me a few time while she was trying
Litter box too small?17 Dec 2003 14:36 GMT1
I was wondering why the cat wasn't burying her waste.
This morning I saw what was happening.  After she goes, she makes all
the motions of burying, but she does it on the rim of the litterbox.
She sat there for five minutes trying to "bury" her waste by clawing,
Strange changes in blood glucose level17 Dec 2003 07:22 GMT6
My cat Al is diabetic.
A week ago last Monday I took Al to the vet for a teeth cleaning. After
coming home, Al was lethargic and his appetite steadily diminished to
the point where I couldn't give him his insulin. I took him back to the
