Cat Lost Or Abandoned14 Nov 2003 20:09 GMT14
Once again there is another cat that may be lost or abandoned in the
apartment complex where I live. The complex management said a resident
reported about the cat recently and one of the complex office people said
this cat has been going back to her old apartment. The cat is ...
food covering14 Nov 2003 16:02 GMT12
I have three cats, one is a female who is 9 and the others are two brothers
who are 2. They all have a strange habit, which is to try to cover their
food after they eat in the same way they cover in their litter boxes. I have
asked the vet about this, and he really couldn't give me ...
Need advice - just got my cat spayed14 Nov 2003 09:04 GMT4
I just picked my kitty up from the vet today after having her spayed. The
vet said she can't be around my other cats (I have 3 others), and she can't
jump up on anything for 10 days. I don't want to keep her in the crate for
10 days, but I don't want her to hurt herself jumping on ...
Loose stool?14 Nov 2003 04:04 GMT3
Hi, our 4/5 yr old cat recently started having loose stools. We switched his
food a few months back, to Iams , since he's a bit heavy. He's been eating
the food fine with no problems, but since maybe 2 weeks ago his stools are
loose, and bigger than normal.
Nursing mother question14 Nov 2003 02:28 GMT7
I have a foster litter and their mother, and the kittens are just turning 8
weeks.  The mother is due to be spayed in two weeks.  Their current setup at
my house is two rooms that are connected by a doorway, which has a baby gate
across is so Autumn (that's the mother), can hop back ...
No turkey for the boys13 Nov 2003 22:01 GMT3
I've been keeping track of what foods Nipsy and Espy like and don't
like. They really hate anything with turkey in it. So much for
Thanksgiving. They're not big on beef. They love lamb apparently.
Chicken and Herring is a hit. Triumph Salmon gets two paws up.
Alternative to Nutro Lite?13 Nov 2003 20:12 GMT12
I read with much interest the thread on Nutro food(s). I have been feeding my
now 7 YO indoor only cat Nutro Max Lite for several years. No problems yet;
Kenzie has never been sick in any way in the 4 years or so since I got her, but
I'd rather not find out the hard way. She was ...
Imuran killed my cat!13 Nov 2003 13:56 GMT11
Approximately 2 months ago, my cat, Luther, a sweet gray tabby, went
to the vet and was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He was
placed on prednisone and Imuran for this. I, foolishly, trusted the
vet and did not research the drugs being administered.  The IBD seemed
Need Advice About Storm Drains13 Nov 2003 08:55 GMT9
I have a problem with one of our cats that has just cropped up within
the last week. We have a ~12 year-old cat and at the beginning of
September we moved to a new house about 40 miles away from the house
that he has lived in for 99% of his life.
Which is better - advantage or frontline flea treatment?12 Nov 2003 23:26 GMT4
I'm not sure but went with frontline plus (vet's recommendation). But I'd liket
o know which is better?
People and allergies12 Nov 2003 22:59 GMT18
Wondering if anyone has any knowledge of what current drugs are out
there  (prescription or over the counter) that are good for people who
are allergic to cats.
Seems to me I recall seeing a commercial recently, but I can't remember
Wendell has asthma-advice?12 Nov 2003 15:55 GMT15
So Wendell was about to go to sleep, and suddenly he coughed--then passed out.
He went limp, and his eyes were open. I thought he was dead, but apparently he
just fainted. I took him to the vet, who took x-rays and told me he almost
definitely has asthma. (I'm a little annoyed, ...
Say hello to Cleo and Kidu!12 Nov 2003 14:16 GMT9
Haven't posted here in ages, so I thought I'd share with you some of
the latest photos of my wonderful brood.
Cleo - my 5 year old tabby beauty and Kidu (short for Enkidu) is my 3
year old blue smoke Persian (he's the doll faced kind - a term I
Measuring blood pressure12 Nov 2003 14:00 GMT4
My vet has me medicating my cat for high blood pressure ($$$$$!).
Seriously, has anyone adapted a regular BP cuff for a cat? The
vet says if I can alter the cuff, I can measure under the base of
her tail. I've played with the cuff but don't see a practical way
