Declawing mentioned in movie "Elf"16 Nov 2003 00:13 GMT1
I just got back from seeing the movie Elf.  The movie was great, the story
is really cute, and I would recommend the movie for kids and adults.
However, there was a statement in the movie that stuck out like a sore
thumb.  When Will Farrell first comes in to his dad's office, the ...
Vegetable Oil In the Diet15 Nov 2003 23:48 GMT1
My cats love to lap up the remaining liquid after I finish a can of
sardines. Doesn't matter whether the sardines are packed in tomato, mustard
or no sauce. It's the vegetable oil in the can that they're after. I've
tested this by putting a bit of either canola or vegetable oil in ...
Peeing problem15 Nov 2003 23:45 GMT5
Tonight I was moving some boxes and found a wet area of the carpet that
should never be wet (not near a radiator or anything). I had seen Hodge
(neutered male, about 2-3 at best guess) behind these boxes last night,
sharpening the "claws" his last owner had had removed. It ...
kittens vomiting15 Nov 2003 21:59 GMT3
We took in a pregnant cat and have been taking care of her and her
four kittens. We then rescued another kitten.  All have been fine till
4 days ago when the little ones (6wks old) started vomiting--thin
yellow liquid.  They are still nursing and now don't appear to be

itching/scratching/allergies/cortisone15 Nov 2003 20:13 GMT1
My latest rescue is a neutered male (approximately 10 lbs) cat who has
some psychological problems.  I found him living in one of my
outbuildings missing hunks of hair and was obviously a veteran of
quite a few battles.  I'm not real sure just how old he is but he is
Fish Tanks and Bathroom Habits15 Nov 2003 16:57 GMT4
Hi.  I have a kitten who attacks my fish tank every chance he has, and
now that I'm using a new chemical to keep the tank water clear, I'm
worried about him attacking the tank while I'm at work, and getting
the tank water on his fur (the chemical is fairly potent, and is

Benny's cloudy eye--any thoughts?15 Nov 2003 01:34 GMT10
Benny, a 3 y/o DSH, has recently developed a slight cloudiness in his
right eye. I think it's been slowly coming on, but at first I thought
it was just the way his eye reflected in the dark/shadows--the way
cat's eyes tend to glow. When I held him in the light and looked
Fleas? But it's November!14 Nov 2003 22:33 GMT1
Wondering if there's an exceptionally high flea population in
the eastern U.S. at this time. Our cat brings in a dozen or so
every time he goes outside. My wife, who's in charge of the
cat, has abandoned chemical remedies and simply combs them out.
