Hi - We found a rather large lump on our 9 yr old cat's shoulder this weekend, and took her to the vet today. Five minutes, $42, and a quick pinch of the lump and the vet said we needed surgery to remove it, and probably a biopsy. We also need pre-op bloodwork due to her age.

| Frostbite temperatures | 02 Nov 2003 14:59 GMT | 4 |
How cold would it have to be outside for half of a cat's ears to get frostbite and break off? I'm asking because a few years ago a stray showed up on my doorstep and half of her ears looked like they had been cut off. I later asked the vet and he said they broke off from

| Facing some difficult choices | 01 Nov 2003 09:21 GMT | 5 |
I posted several days ago about our cat Ginger who had been diagnosed with acute pancreatitus. There are new findings now that challenge that initial diagnosis, but also may support it. I know I am repeating some of what I discussed in the pancreatitus thread. But I think my ...

There is a feral cat at the local waste disposal site that I use. I have been feeding it in the hope that I will be able to bring it home. Progress has been slow but steady until another person decided to feed it. He just dumps kibble on the ground 2lbs at a time.

My cat - an abandoned stray - is truely lovable towards me in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning. We always thought she hated my husband and all men (as displayed by her action of running out of the door and away to hide everytime) but today I was with her in the ...
