Spot is still with us and needs feeding05 Nov 2003 00:49 GMT16
[I recently posted here under two alias's ("mug punter" and "animal luva")
thanks to OE. I think I have it sorted now.]
I want to thank everyone again for their kind wishes (posted or not). I
shall attempt to create a web page or two for him.
Carpet Scratching05 Nov 2003 00:40 GMT6
I'm lucky in the respect that my cat doesn't scratch the carpet. At the
moment I've got a "twist pile" carpet but now fancy a "loop pile". I've
heard that loop pile isn't a good idea if you've got a cat, but as he
doesn't scratch at the moment will start if I get a loop pile as ...
My cat breathes fire04 Nov 2003 23:10 GMT7

CRF help - need help, cat about to die :(04 Nov 2003 21:13 GMT9
My cat Felix is a 13 year old male. Around january of last year he had
laryngitis & trouble swallowing. I took him to the vet and
incidentally his protein level on labs was high. No one thought
anything of it. The laryngitis cleared up after a shot of steroid.
Kitty won't eat!!!!04 Nov 2003 18:21 GMT9
I have a 6 mo. old brown tabby with a URI.  He's on antibiotics and
interferon.  The thing is he won't eat.  I'm almost positive it's because he
can't smell the food.  We have given him the slinkiest nastiest canned food
we can find.  He hasn't eaten in a couple of days.  The vet ...
Kami Likes Tenors04 Nov 2003 18:16 GMT3
Strange observation this morning.  We were watching a news program and
at the end they were doing a pice about who died this week (how morbid
is that?)  Kami was sitting "Princess Sphinx" style on the floor and
about to doze off when a clip of a tenor who pass came on with a ...
question on spaying and neutering04 Nov 2003 17:22 GMT2
Tomorrow my 2 kittens are going to get spayed and neutered.  Well not
tomorrow but they get droped off before 7 then the next day they have
surgery and the day after that they come home.
I have a question though, do many people get blood work done before there
broken front leg04 Nov 2003 10:20 GMT14
Hi all!
A friend of mine has a cat with a broken front leg.  Cookies has been
in a cast for a few weeks, but the vet just checked her out again and
the leg isn't getting better.  The vet says the problem is that
White Cats04 Nov 2003 02:39 GMT5
I was talking to someone the other day about my new white cat and she asked
me if she was deaf.  I said no and she said that most white cats were.  I
have never heard this before, is it true?

Fireworks04 Nov 2003 02:30 GMT2
Just wondering what sort of reactions your cats have to the firework
seasons? My female indoor/outdoor seems to be saying in and just sleeping
and considering the temperture drop here in London is this normal in your
experiences?
Keeping cat out of room.03 Nov 2003 21:19 GMT19
I have a beautiful 6 month old Munchkin kitten, but I can't keep her ou
of the kitchen. She really is a tiny little thing and I am afraid of
stepping on her.
I have tried just saying "NO", using a squirt gun and shaking a can with
blood near  ear03 Nov 2003 21:14 GMT3
Yesterday I noticed a small spot of blood near the ear flap of my two-year
old Tabby, Shiloh.  It's not in the canal, but in front of it below the
scalp.  The blood's not dripping, and it looks like a scratch.  The spot is
still visible today, but she's as playful as ever, her ...
Taking in the Outside Cat03 Nov 2003 20:08 GMT3
OK.  If anyone has been reading this group for a long time, you will think I
am just gabbing and not serious.
SO, for those willing to listen, let's assume I have learned a WHOLE lot
over the last few years.  IF I had realized what I now know, a lot would
Is this FIP or something else03 Nov 2003 18:33 GMT16
One of my family cats has been ill for about 5 weeks. The symptoms are
rather vague, lethargy, poor balance (she doesn't fall over but her
walking looks abnormal), sleeping in odd places and generally hiding
away from people (she's slept in the same spot for the 5 years we've
