Update on Feral Kitten w/ Smelly Poop! :)21 Oct 2003 17:59 GMT4
Well, I got the kittens some of "Dr Elsey's CatAttract Litter" and let
me tell you - it was a godsend! They couldn't stop digging in it, and
Marmie made her next poop in her litter box. Now, I of course did
another thorough cleaning of the area she was pooping in, and covered it

Statistics and studies or the lack therof20 Oct 2003 22:49 GMT1
I was sitting here wasting some time while I wait for some of my jobs to
complete and I thought it might be interesting and informative to do a
study on the two most controversial subjects out there right now in the
field of cat care - EAN and declawing.
Volunteer Appreciation20 Oct 2003 22:31 GMT3
Kaeli's post  made me start thinking about our own corps of volunteers. Each
year we do an "Appreciation Dinner". We spotlight one in each newsletter with a
bio and public thank-you.
I was wondering  what other shelters do for their  volunteers. We absolutely
Sources for Insulin?20 Oct 2003 21:27 GMT10
I just purchased my first vial of PZI insulin from my vet, for my
newly-diagnosed diabetic cat, Sylvester.  The vial will last just under
two months, at his current dose of 4 units a day, which will probably be
increased to somewhere between 8 and 14 units a day, based on my ...

This is an update:
After wednesday´s visit to the vet (Tabasco got a penicillin shot + a
homeopathic remedy to be given at home 3 times a day), we went there
again on friday, as the vet requested. I told the vet that I´ve seen
We're moving into a basement...20 Oct 2003 20:56 GMT26
I have a question, but have looked at some of the flaming that seems to go
on here, so I am trying to quell any issues with a little background.
My wife, myself and our two cats are moving into my parent's house.
However, we're moving into the basement.  It's a partially finished ...

Declawing and Apartments20 Oct 2003 19:57 GMT93
I know we split on this issue about declawing, but I was curious as to
your thoughts about renting to cats.  I am happy to report that Kami
and I will be moving into a very nice apartment community.  My deposit
was $100, hers $300 even though she is declaw.  The thing is, the

Ok, my cat just went into heat, she is 8 mths old and this is the first time

Did my cat just killed a bird?20 Oct 2003 16:53 GMT29
I cannot believe it but I think my cat killed a bird. She sleeps 23 and a half
hours a day and spends the rest of the time eating and sitting like a spinx
before sleeping again. This morning was as per normal but I noticed a sorta
dead bird about two feet away from her favorite ...
Urinary crystals - How long to recover?20 Oct 2003 04:02 GMT86
My cat was having some peeing problems last night so I took him to the
emergency vet.  They said that he was blocked and catheterized him.
The urine sample showed that he had urinary crystals.  They kept him
overnight and I got him back tonight.
