| When your cat is dying | 11 Sep 2003 19:41 GMT | 3 |
Hi all my poor Cookie is 20 years old and dying. She has lost tremendous amounts of weight and seems to have a tumor now near her shoulder but does NOT seem to be in pain. I hope she will die a natural death (die during her sleep) but she seems to cling on. I have been feeding ...

OK--in the past week, Paintball's suddenly taken to chewing up anything paper she can get her paws on. Why would she be doing this? Magdalene IWG #1024/Drill Sgt. of Local 35/Soiled Doves of Colorado

| Placement/Movement of the Litter Boxes | 11 Sep 2003 19:33 GMT | 10 |
I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes. One is in the basement, 2 in an upstairs spare bedroom. The cats use the one downstairs, but seem to me to *prefer* the upstairs ones. Meaning, they pee routinely in the one downstairs, but do almost all pooping upstairs, plus lots of peeing.

| 4AM Wakeup Horror!!! | 11 Sep 2003 17:16 GMT | 27 |
I have recently got a cat. The cat has a habit of waking up at around 4 or 5AM. The cat also has a habit of waking the household by her insistent scratching and meowing. Does any one here know of a way of stopping her doing this?

| Abnormal cats/owners | 11 Sep 2003 16:26 GMT | 1 |
I just read the thread of Sep 5 2003: 'Does my cat need a behaviorist? a psychiatrist?' Folks, this subject and the replies to it touches on a number of things that deserve *much* more discussion. The original is already buried with so many

| My Neighbor's Dog Ate My Cat | 11 Sep 2003 07:57 GMT | 10 |
Now I'm feeding her 3 two week old kittens. And I'm learning waaaay more about cats than I ever wanted to. Like for instance, I don't think grooming is just grooming. I think it's a necessary act - as necessary as eating (for their nervous system??)! I have to simulate grooming with ...

| Cat drooling | 11 Sep 2003 04:13 GMT | 5 |
My newest boy Nipsy (long haired, likely part Maine Coon, maybe 1 1/2 years) was apparently drooling a lot yesterday. At first I thought he was just very sloppy at the water fountain but after I cleaned him up it started again. Also I noted that either him or Espy had thrown up

| Had to put Shelia to sleep today | 11 Sep 2003 01:15 GMT | 10 |
I had to put my cat Shelia to sleep today. It was very sad. She was coming along. Then crashed on Sun. and there was no coming back. I was glad I had time to say good-by. But I'm pretty sad over it. The vet and I are friends and I have confidence in his judgment. Thanks to

I have a 2 year old overweight neutered male cat. When we first got him at 12 weeks of age, I thought he was the best cat I could ever have. He would sleep with me every night, follow me around the house looking for attention or just to lie next to me. He was just a very sweet ...
