HELP... Fever  and Not Eating12 Sep 2003 00:45 GMT10
Greetings All,
I have a 5 year old neutered male cat who is a very special part of
our family.  Monday morning, we noticed strange behaviour - not
eating, lifeless, depressed, glassy eyes, etc. He also urinated
When your cat is dying11 Sep 2003 19:41 GMT3
Hi all my poor Cookie is 20 years old and dying.  She has lost tremendous
amounts of weight and seems to have a tumor now near her shoulder but does NOT
seem to be in pain.  I hope she will die a natural death (die during her sleep)
but she seems to cling on.  I have been feeding ...

OK--in the past week, Paintball's suddenly taken to chewing up anything paper
she can get her paws on.  Why would she be doing this?

Placement/Movement of the Litter Boxes11 Sep 2003 19:33 GMT10
I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes.  One is in the basement, 2 in an upstairs
spare bedroom.  The cats use the one downstairs, but seem to me to *prefer*
the upstairs ones.  Meaning, they pee routinely in the one downstairs, but
do almost all pooping upstairs, plus lots of peeing.
4AM Wakeup Horror!!!11 Sep 2003 17:16 GMT27
I have recently got a cat.  The cat has a habit of waking up at around 4 or
5AM.  The cat also has a habit of waking the household by her insistent
scratching and meowing.  Does any one here know of a way of stopping her
doing this?
Abnormal cats/owners11 Sep 2003 16:26 GMT1
I just read the thread of Sep 5 2003: 'Does my cat need a behaviorist? a
psychiatrist?'
Folks, this subject and the replies to it touches on a number of things that
deserve *much* more discussion. The original is already buried with so many
euthanasia - anything I should know?11 Sep 2003 16:25 GMT23
Hello - I'm a somewhat frequent Usenet user, but never here.  My parents
have a cat that it's now time to put to sleep. He's about 14 years old and
over the last month (or less) has ballooned up with fluid in the abdomen.
The
Advantage and pregnant kitties?11 Sep 2003 12:56 GMT1
Here's a question for youse guys.  No resp. on RPC.health, but low traffic
there.  (Sorry if there's a duplicate...)
Got cats. Got fleas.  Cats are pregnant.
I've checked with not only our vet, but several vets that specialize in
My Neighbor's Dog Ate My Cat11 Sep 2003 07:57 GMT10
Now I'm feeding her 3 two week old kittens. And I'm learning waaaay more about
cats than I ever wanted to. Like for instance, I don't think grooming is just
grooming. I think it's a necessary act - as necessary as eating (for their
nervous system??)! I have to simulate grooming with ...
Cat drooling11 Sep 2003 04:13 GMT5
My newest boy Nipsy (long haired, likely part Maine Coon, maybe 1 1/2
years) was apparently drooling a lot yesterday. At first I thought he
was just very sloppy at the water fountain but after I cleaned him up
it started again. Also I noted that either him or Espy had thrown up
Had to put Shelia to sleep today11 Sep 2003 01:15 GMT10
I had to put my cat Shelia to sleep today. It was very sad. She was coming
along. Then crashed on Sun. and there was no coming back. I was glad I had
time to say good-by. But I'm pretty sad over it.
The vet and I are friends and I have confidence in his judgment. Thanks to
Found a lump10 Sep 2003 23:19 GMT7
Found a lump on the right rear side of my 5yo cat (Betsy).  It is in front
of her hip area.  She is acting/playing normal... no weight loss.  She has
an appt with the vet for next Tuesday evening.... how worried should I be?
I *am* very....
aggressive cat [long]10 Sep 2003 15:49 GMT12
I have a 2 year old overweight neutered male cat.  When we first got him at
12 weeks of age, I thought he was the best cat I could ever have.  He would
sleep with me every night, follow me around the house looking for attention
or just to lie next to me.  He was just a very sweet ...
Baby food?10 Sep 2003 03:53 GMT13
One of our cats has no teeth.
My wife has been feeding it baby food, but I find this
not good for two reasons:
 A. It is expensive
new to group10 Sep 2003 03:35 GMT2

2 healthy around 10 years old kats.
Been feeding them Science Diet dry food.
My question is which science diet product would be best for them. I have
