Adopted stray has fishhead breath21 Sep 2003 07:32 GMT3
I've had him wormed, de-fleaed, washed.  He's gotten his leuk test
(negative) and his leuk and rabies shot.  He's a hell of a sport about
all this, too.  He seems grateful to be taken in by someone and to be safe.
But the poor fellah has fishhead breath.  He does have a bottom ...
mammary cancer21 Sep 2003 07:31 GMT7
I've done my homework and adenocarcinoma seems hard to beat.
Do any cats survive it?  Any at ALL?  Everything I've read says 1 to 3
years, but there must be some who are actually cured, right?
My kitty is having a radical lateral mastectomy tomorrow & beginning chemo
Burmese and heart problems21 Sep 2003 05:38 GMT2
My cat Morag, who is a Burmese, was diagnosed with severe HCM by my regular
vet about a month ago, after having undergone an ultrasound.  Yesterday she
saw a cardiologist at the veterinary hospital here, and after an ultrasound
was performed using a machine with a higher resolution ...
Cat ID Tag...20 Sep 2003 23:28 GMT4
All cats should wear proper identification.  A pet id tag is the best way to
ensure that if your cat is lost, it is returned to you.  Many municipalities
are required to hold an animal with a cat tag longer than an animal they
find without identification.  Easy to order pet tags at
Energetic cat / reserved cat20 Sep 2003 21:29 GMT6
Could I please have some advice and suggestions?  My two cats were
best of buddies for about 10 years, when the male died.  I replaced
him right away with a 2-year-old male from the shelter.  Tried to pick
a "laid back" one, but it looks like I guessed wrong.  Sully, it turns
Does sex of companion cats matter?20 Sep 2003 18:28 GMT7
We have a 3 year old female (fixed) cat and are planning to bring home a new
kitten companion.  Does it matter, in terms of how they will get along, if
they are the same sex or not?

HELP! Cat vomits EVERYTHING!  Also suffers from DIARRHEA.20 Sep 2003 17:37 GMT10
I would greatly appreciate input from this group on an ongoing problem
with my 10-year-old cat.  She has always had a vomiting problem (yes,
she is given Petromalt for hairballs), but it seems to have worsened
in the last few months.  She is also experiencing diarrhea.  I have
cat eye colours20 Sep 2003 14:45 GMT5
My cat Webster has brown eyes but the other 6 cats that I've had had green
eyes. I know that Siamese cats and some other cat breeds have blue eyes but
I've never seen a cat with brown eyes before. Have you?

How can you tell it's playing and not aggression?20 Sep 2003 02:25 GMT5
Jack and Rizzo have, to my mind, have always gotten along well.  Their play
is rough-and-tumble, but has never been marked by hissing, growling, or
injury.
Last night, Jack comes tearing into the living room with the fur on his
Cat peed on concrete floor - help!20 Sep 2003 00:51 GMT5
One of my indoor kitties peed in the laundry room near the litter pan. This was
discovered after the copious amount of urine had sat for several hours and
seeped into the concrete floor. This is unusual behavior, and my guess is he is
reacting to the sounds of the dogs who recently ...
Cat litter for kittens19 Sep 2003 22:58 GMT5
I seem to have a small kitten on my hands (9 weeks or so).
I remember there being some issues with using a scoopable litter with
kittens. What is the current thought on this, and is there a
recommended litter. The kitten has been tested and has spent time with
Kitten concerns19 Sep 2003 22:33 GMT9
My neighbours mistreated then abandoned a 8 week-old(?) kitten.  I like
the little guy, but he's kind of a handful and gets into feisty play (I
try to play with him but I also have to work at home) such as
scratching, biting, jumping onto my neck, biting and scratching my ears,
Lethargy and Reduced Appetite19 Sep 2003 22:08 GMT5
For the last week or so, my 3 year-old female cat has been spending
the entire day and night lying on one surface, leaving the spot only
to eliminate and eat.    She'll spend three or four days at each
location before moving on to another place.  I sealed off access to
Can anyone explain this behavior?19 Sep 2003 19:55 GMT6
I am the owner of three cats - one is a domestic longhair 8 yrs old, and
the other two are domestic shorthairs 2 yrs old (siblings). I also own
two dogs, ages 8yrs, and 8 months. All are female, and all are spayed.
Each cat - of course - has a unique personality. One of the 2 year ...
HELP! Sitter needed for my two fur babies.19 Sep 2003 16:04 GMT8
I am in a very bad situation here and need to get out of this house. I won't bore you
with all the details, but I will be going into a women's shelter for a short time until I
can find work and get settled again...no cats allowed...  :-(   What I need is someone to
take my two boys ...
